OK, but not great

I thought I was booking a nice room for a 3-day stay in Cardiff. Old-feeling look inside. See Ed like a converted building, but we were told it was designed like this. Only one uncomfortable pillow per single bed, no face towels, and breakfast was just an OK buffet. There are more than one Radisson in Cardiff; be sure you compare. Location was convenient, but no good views.

Hotel is convenient for the city centre (but we hadn't considered it would be filled with party goers on a Saturday night). It's a large hotel, but only had one working lift. Room was adequate with everything we needed (no air conditioning but we found a fan in the cupboard).

Was a birthday present first room we were given had not been cleaned properly crumbs on sofa bed and stains on carpet. 2nd room much better an upgraded room but bathroom door was damaged.

Hotel more tired than Santa on Christmas Day......

The hotel is in a excellent position in the centre of Cardiff, brilliant for everywhere in the city centre. All the staff are friendly and helpful, no problems so far. The trouble is the room and decor is very tired and in need of refurbishment (see pictures of 315). We paid top price for a busy sports weekend and the state of the hotel wasnt good value for money, 2 lifts in the building and one was out of order all weekend, on a busy weekend in Cardiff, that should have been fixed, shows a lack of care and respect for the clientele.

This is a very tired feeling and looking hotel, very disappointing. Great staff, special mention to Peace who was very helpful. What was especially annoying was that the photos don’t reflect the majority of rooms and they advertised “sound proofed” rooms. The first room I was offered on the 5th floor was very noisy due to outside noise at street level. I thought the window must be open.

We had a nice stay staff were lovely bed comfortable my only criticism is only one pillow on the bed and no spare in the room if you needed it. we were only staying one night but if was more I would of asked for another. Food good also. Clean and tidy . Would stay again.

no hand towels... not even one to dry hands after using the loo... they only provide bath towels at all tired room.. stains/ marks on the carpet, marks in the bathroom... room in a poor condition compared to the stylish reception which gives high hopes for the room upon arrival. limited tea and coffee supplies but more supplied if you ask only one lift currently working. although it provides a carpark for £27 for 24hrs the carpark is an absolute nightmare amd extremely tight spaces. good for events at the arena... but for the condition of the room over priced

check shower before accepting room

The shower was not good at all. I could not adjust the temperature. It was too hot. It seems it is not maintained. A fridge in the room would have been nice to keep the drinks cool.
