"Cabin was very nice and very clean. Cell service wasn’t great, but they had great WiFi. Location was close to many outdoor activities."
"I really enjoyed my stay at Black Bear Lodge in Slade, Kentucky. The location was perfect—it's centrally located and made it easy to explore Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge State Resort Park, and the surrounding attractions.
The room was simple but comfortable. I especially appreciated that they didn't skimp on the blankets, which made for a cozy night's sleep after a day of hiking.
The only downside was that my room didn't have an iron or ironing board, so keep that in mind if you need one.
Overall, if you're looking for a clean, affordable, and conveniently located place to stay while exploring the area, I'd happily stay at Black Bear Lodge again."

"I was pleasantly surprised by my 2-night stay. Generally, hotels with lower room rates can be pretty disappointing, but that was not the case here. The check-in process was quick, and the front desk staff was friendly. My room was clean and even smelled clean. The building could use a little interior updating. One thing I would suggest is getting rid of the complimentary breakfast. Putting a couple of containers of cereal and a jug of milk on the counter is not really breakfast.
Overall, this was a good stay with a good price. I would not hesitate to stay here again."
"This was a great cabin for a couple days away! Clean and beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a couple days away. Very accessible from the main highway but still private."
