This was an odd experience. I can't blame the facility 100% though. The entire thing was a weird mix of government standard parks building and nice hotel. Doors stuck, AC was loud, beds were not super comfortable..But, the view was incredible, and the location was great. Finally, if you don't have food make sure to eat before things close. My wife and I had. late kayak trip near by scheduled, and we barely made it in time due to terrible weather..We it was over, we had to buy tuna from the kayak place's gift shop or there would have been no dinner. All restaurants in the area were closed, and the gift shop at the hotel was closed. They have no vending machines or food options of any sort in that event. plan accordingly.
In short - staying here was an odd, but not terrible experience. If you are expecting a parks building then it's a pretty good stay, but the appearance can make you think it's more of a hotel, and it's really not.
