Very disappointed

We waited over two hours to check in. We had to cancel the show we were going to see because we did not have the opportunity to get ready or to leave our stuff in the room. I heard the manager talking to other employees that some housekeeping quit and they were overbooked. I understand that things happen but check in was at 3pm and we decided to give up at 6:30pm because our trip was already ruined and if they were overbooked, I was concerned we would never get a room. They kept telling us it would be soon or a few minutes. If they had told us hours earlier about the issues, we could have stayed somewhere else without missing the show we were in town to see. The service desk told us to cancel our stay and we would not be charged for the room. We still lost money as we already paid for tickets for a show we did not get to see and the gas/time to drive several hundred miles.

Check in says 3, we arrived at 330 and waited in the lobby until our room was ready at 530. We watched housekeeping drag trash bag out of the elevator and through the lobby leaving a wet trail behind her. All the shelf’s with decor was covered in a very thick dust. It was raining at checkout and there was a bucket in the lobby collecting water from a leak.

The styling was cool. I put 2 stars for cleanliness because there was a blood stain on sheets and that’s unacceptable. That means not only did they not change the sheets, they also didn’t examine it properly.

Service staff horrible

Service was a 0. The restaurant was opennfrom 7 - 11 for breakfast, we arrived at 10:15. There was no one working. I had to go to the front desk to ask to find someone. That person (10 min later) informs us she was cleaning and needed to leave for her other job, but she suggested a restaurant across the street. I just went back to my room. While there a housekeeper came into my room with no warning at 11:40, 20 min before check out. Bringing this to the attention of the front desk cleark brought a response of "no that shouldnt have happened." And that banana peel that was on a table in the lobby at 10:15 was still sitting there when we checked out at 12.

Super cool hotel

I really loved this hotel. I was welcomed to check in early upon arrival. Super chic, clean and comfy. I was on the 5th floor and it was so quiet. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and generally, ecspecially in the morning I can hear doors slamming from adjacent rooms. I heard nothing. The shower was cool, came directly down from the ceiling, loved that. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to a variety of shops and restaurants. I would absolutlely stat here again.

Staff needs better training!

The front desk ran my card but then kicked it out and it had to be ran again which put a hold on my account for the charge twice. This was an error on the desk help and it really caused an issue with my money. Then the card was hacked as well so I had to cancel the card and dispute the fraudulent charges.
