"Nice but noisy"
We loved the location. It was two blocks from the Convention Center and shopping as well as china town. We enjoyed walking and seeing the sights. We liked the hotel. It was quaint, the price was good, nice people. The bathroom window was single paned so it was loud. We closed the bathroom door and that hepled, some.

"Great for a family!"
Lots of space, quiet, plenty of kitchen amenities, decent Internet, & comfortable. Staff was accessible, friendly & helpful. There are several fast food places close by (within walking distance) as well as a few sit-down restaurants. We have previously stayed at other places nearby but this was the best, so far, for the price, which was competitive. We all agreed that we would love to stay there again!

"Very nice surprise"
First stop on our holiday adventure. We needed a place to stay near San Jose as we were going to the Winchester Mystery house on Christmas Eve. Although this ended up being a bit further then I thought, the drive back into San Jose was only about 15 min. This hotel is in the same lot as an Extended Stay and I missed the driveway at first because it is right after a freeway entrance/exit and little lighting on the road. They have underground parking as well. Walking up to the office you will see a cute water fountain and there are some rooms that have little patio tables outside their sliding door (was hoping for one of these rooms). Lobby is small but very welcoming, mediterrean decor, looked like a gym off to the side of lobby as well if that is your need on vacation. There was a couple ahead of me checking in and I noticed the woman had a glass of wine and I said something in delight and the hotel clerk was quick to respond with a "would you like some", well of course, especially after driving 9 hours in the rain. He was very nice throughout our stay. The room was decorated nice but you could tell it was worn a bit. The bathroom was super tiny but the vanity had a bottom shelf that we could put our bathroom things. Breakfast was decent with a nice selection even an omlet station, but getting an omlet was a challenge as the girl kept leaving. If I ever need a hotel in this area again I will be back here for sure

"Nice hotel in great location"
Nice and clean hotel with nearby parking garage. The hotel turns in from the street was a bit difficult to find, especially at night. Check-in was quick with reservation. I didn't like the 100 dollars deposit you have to put down in case you eat or drink anything came pre-loaded with the room. You're to get a refund approximately 4 to 5 days after check-out. Breakfast are not free unless you book a breakfast inclusive room. But don't. Breakfast was terrible and pricey. Walk to one of the nearby restaurants and eat. If you do, each guest will receive a voucher for $20/day for their brunch menu (7 to 2 pm). The cheap refrigerator in the room needs to go (not cold enough). King size bed was comfy. Wifi was decent. No swimming pool hence room rates were not too high.

The hotel is very nice, and reasonably priced. I really appreciate the cookie and trail mix in the room. We did stay one night at the Lucent just nearby and it was excellent. It's refurbished. I just thought I would let you know about that.

"Great Hotel"
Country Inn and Suites is not a fancy hotel, but it is very adequate! The rooms are pretty basic. The bed was very comfortable and the air/heat worked well. There was enough storage with three large drawers and a large closet. The cleaning staff did a great job of keeping the room and bathroom very clean, with a fresh supply of towels and toiletries daily. The daily breakfast bar had a nice assortment of hot and cold food. There were breakfast bars and a bowl of fruit at the front desk every morning and cookies there every night. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. I would definitely stay there again when visiting my family in San Carlos!
