Atholl Palace Hotel
"A truly beautiful place with really good food and service. It was a bit of a hike from the train station especially with rollers up the sizeable hill, but my only real complaint is the complete ineffectiveness of the hotel’s WiFi. Excitement when the tv actually had Netflix was quickly squashed when ..."

"It was a bit disappointing from the previous stays at this hotel. We stayed 3 nights and the room wasn't cleaned once. Tea/coffee, toilet roll etc not replenished. "The hotel was fine, but the day I went there were only 2 receptionists on duty instead of the 4 who were needed (2 were unwell and not working) which meant everyone who arrived between 5 and 6 (usual time!) had to wait more than an hour to be checked in, even if they had 'checked in online' as requested. ..."

This was the case even for families with small children, as well as pensioners like myself. There should have been a 'back-up system' to cover such staff illness. The room was larger than I had booked, but it was upstairs and there is no lift. The bathroom had a nice low bath and good shower over, so that was fine. Breakfast was well-staffed, and the buffet was very good."
