"Very cute hotel. Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Have the best Neapolitan pizza down the street."

Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown by IHG
"The location of this hotel is excellent for anybody going to an event at the Barclay's Center. It's very centrally located, close to many subway stations. The only minuses for me were, first of all, that there wasn't a chair in the room. I spent quite a bit of time in the room while my family was busy, and I was extremely uncomfortable trying to read or watch TV. My back hurt from the discomfort of trying to sit up on the bed, but I didn't have any other choice. The second minus has to do with the lack of good lighting in the room, with just a not-bright lamp between the beds, and also one other light over the counter space. The direct lights by the bed were fine if one were reading in bed, but if I wanted to read sitting up, there wasn't enough light. I tried going downstairs to read, but the sitting area by the TV's was also very dark at night. There was no way I could read sitting on those nice couches in that room either. The soap dispenser in the shower had fallen off (before we came), and it had not been put back up. Also, there were no small towels available for drying hands after washing them in the sink. We were 3 people, and there were 3 large towels, so no medium-size hand towel. I asked at the front desk, and was brought a couple of mini-square washcloths -- not suitable for drying hands in the bathroom. Other than these issues, I thought it was a pretty good place to stay."
