Thankfully only one night

When you arrive, you see a large notice on the office door saying no smoking or marijuana allowed. When you enter the office, you’re hit by the strong odor of weed. The lady working the desk seemed annoyed by my presence. Definitely not a friendly encounter, but efficient. My room was on the second level, which I appreciated as there was no one above or next to it. On opening the door, the room smelled super musty. This is somewhat understandable considering the age of the motel and its location on the coast. I opened the window, cranked up the fan, and left the door open while I brought my stuff up from the car. Doing my check of the bed, I found one pillow with oily,head shaped stains. Pulling back the sheet, there were hairs all over the mattress pad(both long & short)but no bugs. I used a damp cloth to wipe down the pad as best I could. The main area of the carpet was clean, but every corner and edge was dirty.The space between the refrigerator and cabinet had so much dust and dirt you could plant crops. The upper shelves of the cabinet were so dusty I wiped them off before I put things there. Additionally, a fair amount of road noise, but not their fault. Since I was leaving super early the next morning, I decided to tough it out. Pros: Location if you’re fishing Buoy 10, good shower. Cons: See above Would not recommend. Better to spend a little more and drive a bit further.

Adequate for a Jeep woman

Over all, adequate and clean for the most part. I have a torn tendon and am required to wear a boot when not driving. In order to load in and out, I needed to back my Jeep Rubicon in backwards. As I was finishing doing so, the lady who checked me in (& I spoke to about needing to do so) chastised me about moving my vehicle. I was warned that the staff were rude, but did not expect this, as we had moments before spoke of my needing to do this. Other than that, the room was adequate and mostly clesn - I needed no room care for the three nights I was there. However, the sink does need help (room 106) as it does not drain properly. Bed was not as hard as I needed, but I slept well (thanks to the fan, which make noises like the ocean curls as they hit the wet beach sand). All n all, would stay there again, as ok for this 4-wheeling jeepster!

Not as clean as it looks

At first the room appeared clean. The furniture and style were very nice. But upon further inspection I found human hair on the bedding, and small brown spots which could have been bed bug dirt. There was a squashed insect on the wall of the shower.
