Chlachain Inn
"The staff was wonderful although if you want to reserve a table for dinner your only options are 4,6, or 8. But if you come in without a reservation you can eat at anytime. We learned to do that after a much too early dinner at 6 the night before. The food in the restaurant was a standout, especially the scallop special for dinner and the wonderful breakfast with salmon and eggs. Our last night there we had to leave by 8 am and were not able to have breakfast and they were kind enough to make us a wonderful take away that we grabbed the next morning. The room and bathroom were clean but the outdoor stairs were not lit making for a difficult journey up and down the luckily we had our phones and were able to use the light from them. The exterior door outside did not close well and others left it unlatched so we heard banging from the wind and the door all night. Also, the walls are very thin so be sure to bring earplugs if you want a good night sleep. We stayed on a Thursday and Friday and were disappointed to find there was not any music either evening. But all in all it was a good stay. The restaurant and the staff made up for the small issues related to the room."
