Stayed here to visit Skye and see the Harry Potter train go by and it was the most incredible place to stay ! The hotel is cosy and has an authentic experience, rooms clean and comfy and the staff were some of the best I have experienced, attentive extremely friendly and helpful and present! We had an amazing breakfast both mornings and the evening food was really good too. Would stay again in a heartbeat

Over all very solid and pleasant experience. Property is fraying a little bit at the edges but not enough to matter. Dinner was excellent. Staff helped bring up suitcases to second floor without my asking.

Extraordinarily scenic area. Half of the experience is just the drive out here. It is walking distance to see the steam train. Decent restaurant and whisky bar. Plenty of old wood and fireplaces surrounded by comfortable chairs you can sit on as you sip that whisky and contemplate life.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel which has recently had a lot of money spent on improvements. It is in a beautiful location, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room, which overlooked the loch, was ok, however, the en-suite was tiny, more like a converted cupboard, there was a window seat but no other seating. The bed was comfortable, the linen and towels of good quality. Food was average, breakfast was limited, no pastries, fruit, bread, cheese etc. we ate on one of our evenings in the hotel which was fine but the menu wasn’t particularly imaginative so we ate elsewhere on the other evenings. Good parking, lounge areas and bar very pleasant.

A place to stay if you are a Harry Potter fan. Walk to the viaduct. The hiking up and over the train was amazing. Staff in the Hotel were fantastic.

This property was absolutely amazing. The ambience, and the attention to detail within the property and in the grounds was just lovely. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom modern and the bed is very comfortable. To make it an even more memorable day the restaurant/bar restaurant Was fantastic. The food was delicious. You have to try the sticky toffee pudding… The best I’ve ever had in 50 years I would love to come back one day. Make sure you take a walk around the property along the shoreline… So peaceful… Thank you for a wonderful stay, where the staff were very attentive and friendly

Our room was dirty and we saw cobwebs behind the furniture. Dust was also on the furniture. The bathroom had been renovated but was so small you could barely turn around in it. Poor service at restaurant. We were not able to have breakfast there because the service was so slow. We had to catch the Jacobite train. When we asked for a recommendation for a restaurant for breakfast we were told McDonalds. We found a nice cafe on our own. We expect more from a hotel charging their nightly rate. We spent roughly the same amount on other hotels during our two week stay in Scotland but we had nicer rooms and better service in the other hotels.
