We ended up leaving. The first room we were put in was on the ground floor and had a sliding glass back door to a “patio” area. We had to search to find the lock bar in the room and found that the door could still be partially opened with the bar in place because it was broken. The floor of the entry area was sticky. There were webs with dead bugs in the corners of the room. I started checking reviews at that time and realized that between when I booked and the time of our stay there were multiple new reviews mentioning bedbugs. We went to the front desk and explained my concerns about safety with the door and asked to be moved to the second floor. Our second room was dirtier than the first with food debris stuck to the walls. The fridge was plugged into an outlet that was hanging out of the wall. We decided to find somewhere else to stay at that point. The person working the front desk came up to the second room because we had left one of our bags in the first room. We handed him the key to the second room and told him we were going to leave. He informed us that there was a no refund policy. On our way back to our car my fiancee noticed there was a sign in the window saying they were hiring for housekeepers.
Overall the property is well below the standards of any motel 6 I’ve been in before. My personal standards are pretty low. I don’t care about updates to the rooms as long as they are clean and at this location, they simply were not. 0/10 would not book again.
