Guests need to be fit and agile.

Host warned us of potential difficulty getting on board. Boat was comfortable and well equipped. Exterior was not quite ready for guests. Some minor inconveniences didn’t spoil our stay. As sailors we found the host to be lacking in knowledge of his vessel. Public transport was close by or Uber for those of us less fit. It was great to stay away from the bustle of the city.

Awesome host and location!

The boat was well maintained and very clean. Casey is a wonderful host. We shared some wine and Dutch cheese and watched the sunset from the boat platform. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!

A unique adventure with a charming host!

We enjoyed two days and nights on this lovely houseboat just outside of Amsterdam center. Our host made everything easy with impeccable communication. The houseboat itself was a fun adventure and we so enjoyed being gently rocked to sleep while listening to the breeze, the waves, and night birds. The view of Amsterdam at night was magnificent. Casey was a wonderful host - attentive, engaging, and friendly. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and we would definitely stay here again if we were coming to Amsterdam. Thank you, Casey!

An experience of it's own :)

We had such a fabulous time here! It's small quarters because it's a boat... somewhat of a camper feeling. Being on the water and feeling the boat rocking is so relaxing. Casey was so, so kind and helpful. He thinks of everything- he showed us good places to go in town, explained how to get there on the tram, provided bikes as an option for travel, and even had motion sickness pills available for seasickness. When we ran into a small snag with the accommodations, he came over immediately to help. We definitely recommend staying here if you like adventure and new experiences. :)

Unique Amsterdam New Year's adventure on the water

The boat is ideally situated, about a 10-15 minute Uber ride from the city center. There's a really nice grocery store and restaurant within a 15-20 minute walk along the water. The highlight of our stay was the view of fireworks along the city skyline. It was a cozy and relatively quiet way to ring in the new year. The accommodations itself were really comfortable! It was winter, so obviously it was a bit chilly, but we bundled up and the boat's heater kept us comfortable. Quarters were a bit tight especially in the bathroom, which was expected, but everything worked well and the water was hot. Casey's attention to detail and communication added an extra layer of convenience to our trip. He picked us up from Amsterdam Central station, which was especially helpful with our luggage. Throughout our stay, Casey remained communicative, ensuring that we had everything we needed and provided great recommendations. In summary, it was a lovely and unique experience overall. If you're looking for a memorable and cozy retreat in Amsterdam, with a host who goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, Casey's boat is the perfect choice. We would highly recommend this VRBO listing for a one-of-a-kind adventure on the water.

Cozy, relaxing place

Casey’s boat is a very cozy and fun place to stay. We stayed there with three people and enjoyed every minute of it. The quiet place and gentle swaying of the boat will let you get a great night’s sleep. There is no cooking in the kitchen, but it has a fridge, tea and coffee, and plenty of other ways to prepare a light meal. The bathroom is bigger than the ones I have seen on boats this size. It has a beautiful half tub and works just like on other boats. The elevated middle room where you enter functions as the living room. We played games there- it was spacious for us and cozy. You can sunbathe outside on top of the yacht or enjoy the atmosphere from a lazy boy seat on deck. Casey is very responsive and generous when/if you need something and gladly gives you information about plenty of things to do in the area. Amsterdam is not far and a great destination for the day. Weather depending there may be an opportunity for you to go on a boat ride in your boat with Casey as the captain. You can tell that he wants you to have a wonderful stay!

A wonderful time

My grandchild and I spent 3 days in Amsterdam and 2 nights on the House Boat. After being in the city of Amsterdam during the days, we looked forward to the relaxation and the quiet surroundings in the evening and during the night time.The House Boat was very cozy and very comfortable.We enjoyed the sway of the waves on the House Boat. Lovely location, place with a lot of charm, very helpful owner, always ready to assist. One should just be aware of what it means to be on a boat- no real cooking possible, just microwave but works fine. Excellent supermarket nearby, quiet lovely surrounding in the countryside though within easy reach of the city center. The only slight nuisance (to me) was the high- voltage line nearby bit other than that great experience- thank you so much!

Our Wonderful Week on the Amsterdam Houseboa

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful week we spent on the houseboat in Amsterdam. The boat is not only beautifully designed but also perfectly situated – just about 30 minutes to reach the vibrant city center of Amsterdam (a short tram ride and a little walk), while still being surrounded by idyllic nature and just a stone's throw away from a cozy little town. Whether it was a bike tour, a refreshing dip in the water, or enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city – our week flew by. Our host was incredibly warm and took care of all our needs. It was truly a fantastic holiday, and we will definitely book the boat again.

Gemütliches Boot am Rande der Stadt

Wir haben unsere Zeit auf dem Wasser und in der Stadt sehr genossen. Eine gute Mischung zwischen Trubel im bunten Amsterdam und Ruhe auf dem Boot mit sanftem Schaukeln. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht auf engstem Raum. Zu Fuß und mit den Öffis braucht man ca. 30 min bis zum Bahnhof. Casey ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Freundlich und hilfsbereit. Staying on his boat is a bit like glamping on the water. The small bathroom takes some getting used to, but you get along well with it. We would not hesitate to holiday there again. The location very close to the city is perfect.

Wir haben ein Wochenende auf dem Boot verbracht und waren durchweg begeistert. Alles war super! Es war sauber, ordentlich und wirklich gemütlich. Unser Gastgeber Casey gab uns eine Einweisung in die Besonderheiten und gab uns außerdem ein paar Ausflugstipps für Amsterdam an die Hand. Es fehlte uns an nichts.
