Average hotel. Very friendly reception staff. Nice bathroom. Bedroom has almost no space to place clothes. Room service almost non existant.. didn't wash coffee mugs and made beds like a 10 year old with attitude. Bar area is not really sociable space. IBIS next door looks like a palace in comparison. Breakfast ok

The hotel itself was very nice and clean. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Only issue was I ended up paying more money by selecting to pay in US dollars rather than Euros. Apparently you should also choose the local currency. It was a $98 difference. The hotel was unable to credit the difference - frustrating to lose $98 this way. The sheets also had stains on them.

Friendly staff and nice rooms but on the main road

Nice hotel but not as the picture advertising it. It on a busy main road opposite the fire station the back is on the canal. We had a room near reception which was very noisy at times especially when the morning shift came on at 5am banging doors.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental but it got rather full in the breakfast room and some people had to go away and come back later.

Nice and Clean.

The staff was friendly and helped us set up breakfast for the following day. We were leaving too early for the continental breakfast. I did ask them if they had parking, they indicated they did not. It would have been helpful if they had mentioned the parking deck at the end of the block - instead i paid for expensive street parking until i figured that out on my own.

We had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam. Everything about our stay from staff, room, view, quiet, and excellent breakfast. The staff at the front desk were super knowledgeable. It was such a nice relaxing place to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing! Definitely would come back!!
