This place and its history is very cool! Being able to stay in a place with so much history, isn’t something you have the opportunity to do very often. This is an historic hotel that hasn’t been updated throughout any point in history. This makes it quaint and cute. It does mean, however, that the rooms are old and historic too. Tile in the bathroom was falling apart, carpet was rough, we had to wipe lots of dirt off of the bed comforter. Just know going in, it’s old and needs lots of attention. Staff is super friendly, great proximity to Death Valley National Park.

This run-down hotel is bursting with love and pride, which more than accommodate for its many obvious shortcomings. I love it. The staff were stellar -- especially Tammy, at the front desk. This hotel is not for everyone, but, for the patron of a certain ilk, it is pure magic.
