CA is the IATA code of Air China. This two-character code, also known as the airline identification code, is assigned by the International Air Transport Association. It regulates and streamlines tickets, telecommunications, tariffs and more.

How do I find my flight number?
  • Look at the itinerary that will be in your inbox. It will be a sequence of numbers and letters that ought to be easy to find.
How early can you check bags for a flight?
  • Airlines can have different requirements for check-in and bag drop times. However, as a general rule, aim to arrive at the airport around three hours prior to takeoff for international flights. If you're traveling on a domestic flight, the recommended time is two hours prior to departure. Our top tip? Don't be too late. International flights typically close bag drop one hour before departure. With domestic flights, 45 minutes before is standard.
If I am not able to travel due to COVID-19, can I change my flight to a later date?

Plane was at least two hours late in LAX. Lost my fly in Bejing. Wait for another 10hours before next fly to Hanoi. We have to check our luggages three times. Finally we were able to get a fly to Saigon. Horrible and unfriendly staffs at counter check in and pick up luggages. We will never again to book with Air China again.

Vague baggage policies are not made any more clear by customer service. Will avoid air china flights going forward.

Do not partner w this airline. Their baggage policies are unclear, and their customer service does nothing to make the policies any clearer.

While the staff are very nice and accommodating, I find that the space in economy are small. I’m not expecting a first class seat but I can barely move. Once the seat in front of me reclines, the monitor gets so close to my face I have no choice but to recline as well just to properly view it. Also, both my flights to-and-from LAX/China didn’t have proper air conditioning. I had to Strip down to my under shirt just to get comfortable.
