First the building was unmarked. It was very hard to figure out if the building I was at was the Hotel. It has no sign, no checkin office, no address on the building. Hilo Bay Oceanfront B&B
Clean room, we placed our laundry in a basket before we went to dinner and it was washed and folded in our room upon our return, wonderful breakfast.

Hilo Vacation Rental
Was very difficult to sleep with all the traffic passing by. Not sure that is fixable but a downside to staying there.

Lava Lodge at Hale Kilauea
Nice rustic place. We normally stay in 4 and 5 * hotels and this was not that but it was a cool little spot for what the town is. It’s remote with not a lot of choices. The room was clean and if we can’t get a room in the park again when we’re there next, we will try to stay here again.
