"Family-friendly and Free Meals"
We planned to visit St. Louis on vacation and were not familiar with the Drury Inn hotels. Taking a chance after reading the reviews, we booked a week and boy, we were NOT disappointed!
The staff, whether they were managers, kitchen staff or housekeeping, were always friendly, polite and seemed happy to be working there. The common areas and our room were clean and updated. The hotel is pet-friendly too and I never noticed any pet smells. It was actually nice to see as many dogs as we did (including 2 friendly pit bulls so the hotel is not breed-discriminating)!
Our room was of a comfortable size for a family of 4, including 2 teenagers. We had a deluxe, with 2 queen (very comfy) beds. The bathroom and shower were my favorite. The floor was marble tile and the shower head was the large type (9") that gives a wide flow. I especially liked that the Drury doesn't use the trial sized shampoo, etc. which is more plastic in our environment, but rather has the refillable containers attached in the shower.
Included in the cost of a room is BOTH breakfast and dinner. Our family saved a bundle in meal costs. The hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal, fresh fruit, biscuits, bagels, etc. and the evening meal alternated but some items were hot dogs, mac 'n cheese, chicken fingers, baked potatoes, chili, pasta, salad, chips, etc. Plenty for pretty much anyone's taste. Additionally, we took advantage of the evening popcorn and always-available soda.
