Location is probably nice for a weekend stay. The host was great. However, the unit is much like a hotel room. Things to be aware if you are staying at this unit for anything longer than a night or two: 1) The Dive Bar below is convenient if you want it and no noise is heard from it. However, the smokers stand right out the door that is below the window of this unit so you can't leave the window open. 2) The only AC is a window unit. It is very loud so you'll have to have the volume very high to watch tv or listen to anything else. On warm days, you can leave the unit on all day long and it still won't cool down to the temp you set it. 3) The tenant in the unit above wakes up at 6:30 AM. While they surely aren't intentionally loud, they would wake us up every day. They either walk extremely hard/loud or the units are built with very thin ceilins/floors...or combo of both. 4) There is an odd odor in the unit (my best guess is an old vomit). We would try leave the window open to get fresh air in the unit but then it would smell like smoke from below. The host came to check on the odor but he couldn't pin point it either. I believe it may be coming from the bathroom but unsure. Hopefully they cleanout the drains or wash the rugs and shower curtain as that smell is stuck to something. Febreeze & freshners helped for the month we stayed, but only masked it. 5) The unit is furnished and stocked with everything you may need but it's all basic and not made for long term comfort.
