We absolutely loved it here! It’s beachfront, & the beach & sun lounges were amazing. You can order food & drinks from the beach - there are servers there. The breakfast was very good. We had the family room with 2 twin beds & the main bed is definitely a full size bed & not the advertised queen. The aircon worked really well. It did take the shower a little while to heat up tho’. They provide robes, but no slippers. The whole property is very rustic as you can see. It was a great stay. I do think it can use a smidge of a refurbishment tho - really just the bathroom sink & shower, but yes, we would stay again.

If you’re looking for a quiet retreat this is not the place . We were in the garden room right next to the kitchen. I heard the kitchen utensils and pots and pans, banging until late into the evening when the kitchen closed and then early in the morning and late at night I could hear children, crying, and scream screaming around us. More of a family retreat. There was only one restaurant on site however, if you wanted to go and choose other restaurants, you could walk along the streets and find other restaurants. It was just a little inconvenient.

We loved Alaya Tulum. Between the lovely room, quick access to the beach, lovely, helpful staff, delicious meals.We are extremely happy that we chose this hotel. It’s a wonderful hotel. It’s small so the attention to detail and comfort is above and beyond. The staff is incredibly friendly and gracious; the beach and amenities are clean and well-attended; and the overall feel is that of staying in a private treehouse.
