This stay was the worst experience. I would never recommend staying at this property. I got a call the morning of check in from Kim, with AvantStay that she was meeting me at the property to do a "live check-in" and was informed that there are crazy neighbors that they are currently in a court battle with over street easements and the roads leading to the property. She said they call the cops on the guests and video record and sit and watch you and shine a huge spot light on the property at night. I was told to video any of this behavior so that they can have it as evidence towards the ongoing court battle with this neighbor. Not only did these neighbors video our every move, and did everything Kim described, they called the cops on Sunday claiming we are harassing them, when we were simply laying at the pool. They hide in bushes to watch u. It was the most unsafe, uncomfortable stay EVER. Also we had scheduled a massage through the concierge service provided by AvantStay and the massage was cancelled by Epicurate because the driver was stuck in traffic, and I would get a refund, which they granted, but super disappointed because it was a gift for the bride to be. The house itself was unclean, dead flies (about 20) in the windowsill of the downstairs bedroom & outside looked as if it had never been swept,patio furniture had cobwebs, dirt, leaves.The house title should be CREEPY and not chateau. Not relaxing not enjoyable and shouldn’t be offered as a VRBO.
