I only received the upgrade on the second day after having to ask for it. When I checked in the guy at reception was not very helpful. I then wasted half a morning waiting for them to confirm when I could change rooms.

Please be aware that the north Sydney train station is next door and trains run all hours, I was unable to sleep through the duration of my stay on level 2 due to the never ending noise and vibration of the trains. The view is amazing, but if you enjoy a good nights sleep this is not the hotel for you. The doors have no softening, so every door slams shut each time someone closes a door on your level, the walls seem paper thin and you can hear the next rooms conversation. I am so disappointed. When this issue was raised with reception all they could offer me was a sorry. Completely devastated based on what I paid for the room.
