Booked this to stay at for a couple nights before our cruise. The hotel was very comfortable, spacious and conveniently located. Had a little snafu getting checked in, when we dropped our bags off in the morning they said to return at 1:00 for our room. Our room wasn’t actually ready until around 3:30 (we relaxed in the lobby and watched 20-30 other families check in and get their rooms before us). After a 16 hour flight, it was a bit much.

Room 820. Advertised as a harbour view room and while it did have a harbour view you had to be standing at the windows to see it. So if your thinking having a relaxing chill day with a beautiful view this is not the room for you and I wouldn’t pay a premium for harbour view. Air con is super loud in this room also. Other than that this is still our go to hotel in Sydney. Location can’t be beaten. Staff are accomodating.

You're really paying for the location, not much else. When you first walk in the foyer is quite grand, but once you get to the rooms you realise how run down everything is. The staff at check in were very arrogant, they took another $50 as deposit, said it would be released the next morning on check out... It's now 4 days later and I still don't have it. The 'roof top' was not very accessible and quite small. The TV was ancient and had very minimal, free to air channels. The location was good for being able to walk to the bridge and Circular Quay. But besides that it was definitely not worth the price tag.

The hotel is in a great location. The service was good, and the room had comfortable beds. The bathroom needs an upgrade. I would have preferred a walk-in shower. The bath was old and 1 of the tap was dripping. My grandson loved the roof top pool and hot tub, whilst I loved the view.

Great location, noisy, noisy! Don’t expect sleep!

Hotel is in a great location with an incredible rooftop pool and what a view! Staff was helpful and let us drop our bags well before checkin. Room was average but with a great view of the harbor! Trouble started at 2:30AM when a construction crew next door decided to stack metal scaffolding AS LOUDLY AS POSSIBLE for 2 hours, making sleep impossible. I complained to the desk and they offered to move us to an interior room, but we declined as we didn’t want to move at 4:30 when we had to leave for the airport at 5:30. Terrible night’s sleep, I’d like a refund please!

The location is good, staff are polite and they have umbrellas for loan at the front desk. That's as good as it gets. The rooms are pokey and have not been updated since possibly the 90s. The bathroom was full of mould. The kettle was full.of the last guests water and put back in the cupboard. The duvet insert was laid etween 2 sheets rather than a cover, meaning as soon as you moved the duvet insert (which I'm fairly certain doesnt get cleaned each guest) was in contact with you. The television was about the size of a computer monitor and only got free to air - you could'nt even buy a movie from their 'store' as that option is apparently no longer available. Finally neither of the beds had their brakes on which ended in one of my kid's hitting the ground HARD. I know the ads say good for families, but this family won't be staying again.

I was pleasantly surprised. One of our best stays yet. We travel a lot but have never come across such a great blend of history, architecture and cleanliness. The staff were amazing and the spa pool on the deck was insane and definitely a hit for my family. Not to mention the views and location! Although older (which was a bonus in our case) it was clean and well maintained. Coming from Auckland where we don’t have a lot of ‘history’ it was a treat to stay at this hotel and appreciate all the other architecture and history in the city.

Window in our room was dirty, fantastic view of Opera House and Bridge marred by the window, I know they wouldnt be easy to keep clean. They did try to charge us for breakfasts on check out, even though we'd booked with full breakfast. Overall great location and wouldstay again
