We arrived for a 3 night stay on our honeymoon tour of New England, only to find the hotel had overbooked itself and were not prepared to let us stay. We had booked 10 months in advance so there really was no excuse for this. The receptionist sent us to their 'sister hotel' Best Western, suggesting it was similar to the Holiday Inn. On our arrival there, it was awful - not only tired, but filthy and our room carpet smelt of a thousand sweaty feet. If you want to guarantee you'll have a room available to stay in, don't book this Holiday Inn. And if you arrive to find they're sending you to the Best Western, decline their offer to transfer you - book yourself somewhere else. In addition, Expedia Customer service kept me on the phone for just under an hour and essentially accused me of lying, before finally someone called the hotel and spoke to the receptionist standing in front of me to confirm they were overbooked and I needed refunding. Shocking service from both Holiday Inn and Expedia.

we checked in and when we got in the room its smelled musty and old. W wanted to lay down from a long drive and the pillows stunk like Mold it was horriable had to call front desk to get new pillows and the tv remote also didn't work had to call them for that also. They need to address the smell in these rooms.

Oy! Where to begin? There were two reservations with our same last name. They checked in the first arrival under our room incorrectly and gave them our king bed, so we had to settle for the only option of room 116. Right next to the flippin’ ice machine and 10 feet from the front desk. Needless to say, we got ZERO sleep. The “business center” was a computer with no internet and a broken printer. Useless. The entire first floor and lobby smelled liked weed. The bathroom had no stopper in the drain, so we had a lovely view right down into a corroded pipe. The poor kid working the front desk was alone and a new employee, who tried his best to field complaints and room transfer requests the best he could (I witnessed this while waiting to ask about the “business center”. Talk about baptism by fire. Never again for us.
