My husband, our two month old son, and I got caught in some flash flooding and had to find a place to safely pull over and stay for the night on our way home to Portland. We showed up late, drenched, and with low expectations. Our room was overall very nice. It was spacious, the bed and linens were clean and comfortable, and they included nice extras like hair ties and razors. We had two MAJOR issues with our room…1. The wallpaper/walls behind the toilet were stained with urine. And I mean A LOT of it. It had obviously been wiped down/cleaned to the extent it could be…but that needs to be replaced. Desperately. And 2. The couch/hide a bed tried to kill my husband. Just before climbing into bed my husband was grabbing some things out of our sons diaper bag that was on the other side of the room and he walked by between the coffee table and the couch to get to it and was tripped/his bare foot got caught on a foot long piece of metal wiring that was popping out from under the couch. It scratched the top of his foot pretty badly/drew blood. We were so exhausted that we decided not to go to the front desk to do anything about it that night and instead I brought it up to the staff at the front desk when we went to check out. The staff took the issue very seriously and immediately grabbed a manager to speak with me. The manager got the details on what happened and I showed her a picture of my husbands foot. She went out of her way to provide resolutions and exceptional service.

Obviously the ducting was tied together and a guest was smoking and blowing it into the bathroom vent which spilled into our room. The hvac needs to have a fan that cranks when a guest turns o their fan.

It was a nice place to stay and suited our purposes very well. Staff was helpful. Large stain on carpet in room, but otherwise clean - nice bedding, which I always appreciate. The free breakfast was generous with plenty of offerings. Coffee was terrible, however!

I cannot express enough how the staff here was so helpful from checking in to check out. We lost a phone and every staff including, those who help out in the breakfast, helped us. They are the best here ! Keep up the good work and this will be my spot for whenever I am in the city !
