Nice place. Heat in the room didn't work. Was 64-67 at night, about 80 in the hallway. Fireplace didn't heat. We noticed this about 2:30 am and shivered the rest of the night.

The property is a jewel of Victorian architecture, and is run by folks who are the warmest and friendliest people I have ever experienced at a B&B. Bellefonte itself is worth a stop for its many late 19th century mansions. Breakfasts were great and all in all it was an outstanding experience.

Last Minute Stay

The castle was beautiful. Exquisite decore, game room, and Jess went over and above any other other place we've stayed in the past. Prior to arriving she checked on any food allergies that may effect our breakfast. She made excellent suggestions for dinner, when she found it was our anniversary, she had left a bottle of wine, and an anniversary card next to the bed. So many other little personal extras made our stay so pleasant. We have never had a more pleasant experience.

Fantastic place in quaint town.

We made the decision for last minute stop and we are glad we did! Jess and Retta were so nice. The place is clean and offers lots of amenities. Complimentary brandy, cookies, fruit, lavendar washcloths. Games, books and a pool table. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was filling. We would stay there again and will recommend!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful place Everything about my visit exceeded expectations—from the cleanliness and comfort of the space to the thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was Jess and her mum - the host. She was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and genuinely friendly. Her hospitality really stood out and made my trip even more enjoyable. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-cared-for getaway.
