Shimogo has no Travelocity-featured accommodation options within a very close range. But, we offer at least 3 places to stay that are within a 10-mile (16-kilometer) drive.

The nearest Travelocity accommodation is the Hotel Floracion NASU, Fukushima, 15 miles (24 kilometers) from the heart of Shimogo. Or alternatively, you may like to consider the Ookawaso, located in Fukushima, which is 8 miles (13 kilometers) from the downtown area.

Have a look at the Nakamachi Fuji Grand Hotel or the Hotel Route-Inn Aizuwakamatsu. The Nakamachi Fuji Grand Hotel is situated just 17 miles (27 kilometers) away from the main part of Shimogo. The Hotel Route-Inn Aizuwakamatsu, is situated only 17 miles (28 kilometers) away. Some more hotel options in the Shimogo area are the Ekimae Fuji Grand Hotel along with the Aizuwakamatsu Washington Hotel.

The larger Tohoku area is well worth seeing as well. Photographers will fall in love with Tohoku's forests. In addition you could go to many of the area's ruins. Visitors in this pocket of Japan enjoy snowboarding.

30 miles (46 kilometers) to the east of Shimogo, you'll reach Koriyama, which is where you can explore Niida Honke Brewery and Koriyama City Auditorium.
