Great house for a nice getaway

The communications with the owner couldn't have been better. They made every accommodation that we asked. The house was completely as advertised and clean. We had a great time and would love to book the house again in the future. Highly recommend for a quick getaway of the City! Especially during Covid. Thanks again!

Beautiful and fun year-round!

Beautiful house! It was perfect for our group of 9 friends. We had an amazing time and all agreed we'll have to go back. It looks like there have been some recent updates to the house so the pictures are not exact but any differences are improvements. For example, the sun room now has a much larger round table than the one pictured so it serves as another dining room option (a nice option year-round despite weather conditions) and the extra room/office has a bed rather than a pull-out couch so it can serve as a 6th bedroom. We were there mid-winter so didn't get to enjoy what looks like an amazing pool but had a great time nonetheless. We were only there for a weekend and spent much of our time exploring but there's plenty to do inside in the winter as well: fireplace, basement with pool table and screening area, hot tub, sonos sound system throughout the house, gourmet kitchen. The ferry in either direction is only about a 10 min ride making it easy to enjoy The Hamptons to the south or the many beautiful vineyards on the North Fork. The owner was very nice and checked in regularly to make sure all was well and was very responsive when we had questions. The house is also incredibly clean and kept clutter-free (empty closets, dressers, etc) which would make it very easy to settle in for a longer stay.

Shelter Island Gem

What a beautiful and meticulously kept home. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The owners couldn't be nicer or more accommodating! My family is looking forward to spending an entire week there next September. I highly recommend this wonderful home.

This property is absolutely beautiful!! Hard to believe but it is more beautiful in person. My family of 6 enjoyed a long weekend away celebrating my mothers birthday and this property made the weekend that much more special. We each enjoyed our own bedrooms (5) with the most comfortable beds and luxury sheets. There was so much do to just at the house alone. There is a pool, hot tub, putting green, movie theater and pool table. Not to mention the open field in the backyard for more activities - Needless to say everyone was entertained 24/7. PC, the owner, is very responsive and extremely sweet which made our stay that much better. We initially booked this residence as a one time stay but we have agreed that this must be an annual occurrence.

A great getaway!!

The property was absolutely perfect, and was represented well by the photographs. There are essentially 3 master bedrooms, and all three have their own terrace which made for wonderful privacy and comfort. The pool was fantastic. Located 5 minutes from Shell beach, which was so private. A five minute drive to Sunset beach, which proved perfect for evening cocktails and fun dinner. While we had a few questions when we arrived, the owner was incredibly responsive, and every issue was addressed.

Beautiful Property, Beautiful Island

Our extended family of 6 adults and 5 teens (and 2 dogs) spent the past week at this beautiful home on Shelter Island. It was our first trip to both and will definitely not be our last! PC was there to meet us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property and suggestions on what to do and where to go and left us with some drinks and snacks to enjoy after our drive out as we settled in. The house was well appointed with luxury linens and top end appliances. The property was amazing with a heated pool (which we didn't need to heat as the sun did the job for us keeping the temp around 85 F). There was also a cabana by the pool which we didn't expect. It was great to be able to get out of the sun and lounge out at the pool. We also enjoyed the hot tub, putting green and playing around on the town field directly behind the property. The kids had a movie night pretty much every night on the big screen in the basement and we all enjoyed all types of music inside and out on the SONOS system. We went bike riding every day around the island and walked to the Salt restaurant and bar just down the street. The beaches on the island were pretty empty during the week and the water was beautiful. We visited most of them and spent the most time at Wade beach nearby the house. Next time we will get a parking permit to avoid walking with our beach gear. IGA supermarket was nearby for supplies but expect to pay island prices and also for dining out. Commander Cody's was nearby and had seafood and BBQ at reasonable prices and the most amazing pan fried chicken! All in all it was a wonderful trip and we were all a bit sad to have to leave it behind. But there's always next time . . .
