Desert Jewel in Red Rock country

Beautiful location in the last remaining homestead still undeveloped in Sedona. The views from property are stunning.

The room is equipped with a king bed and cute kitchen with micro, 2burner stove, toaster oven, full size fridge with auto ice maker, dishwasher, outdoor bbq, Keurig and mr coffee, coffee maker.
There is no living room but a cute breakfast nook that you can sit and play cards or use your computer. We also have a huge selection of board games! Or just enjoy a home cooked meal. There is a comfy chair to relax in.
We keep cupboards stocked with typical kitchen stuff. Salt pepper, etc

The WiFi is usually great, sometimes in inclement weather we get outages and the cell service can be iffy if your not on Verizon. ATT is not great, but doable.

The TV is. 48” flat screen, connected to Direct TV. TiVo if you want to record your favorite game to watch later. We have Netflix too!

The patio boasts a beautiful vantage point of Cathedral Rock the most photographed rock in Arizona. It’s very pleasant just to relax outside and enjoy the beautiful view of Cathedral Rock either from the patio of from your hot tub.
The property is peaceful and private and a great spot to sit during the morning sunrise or evening sunset.

In this courtyard you have a hot tub that is private to your casita. You must request it before your stay for very hot months. We have a pool that might be nicer.

We offer EBike rentals from our shop in west sedona, ask us about our rates and availability during your stay. It’s fun to go exploring on them.
Hiking and biking are right out your front and back door. No need to even leave the property to face the traffic and the hectic tourist scene. This is where people come to ride or hike from in town, the area is not as hustle and bustle, more romantic. Very peaceful.

We do not like multiple cars, travel trailers or atvs parked in our driveway tho, so if you are traveling with one, we will not allow on property. We only have so much parking.

Beautiful property. Can’t find a better view if you tried. Bed was comfortable. Shower is good. And you have all the amenities needed and still close to town. We don’t use the hot tub, but imagine it would have been wonderful as it’s next to a fountain and the views!!! Great place for a couple.

Lovely setting! Friendly host. Comfy space. I hope to be able to return. Since it was still cool, we were able to use the small pool as a cold plunge, paired with the hot tub. Nice for recovery after a good hike.

Loved the accommodations and the location. Lots of great hiking and places to enjoy sunsets/sunrises and the spectacular night sky near the property. It was completely quiet at night and you have an amazing view of Cathedral Rock from the property. You're close to hiking in every direction and near restaurants/stores while still being away from the most tourist-packed areas. The hosts were fun to talk with and provided great recommendations for hikes. I couldn't enjoy the hot tub due to a recent surgery, but it looked great.

Relaxing retreat

This property is so beautiful and welcoming. We spent a week here and enjoyed every moment. The home is close to every Sedona attraction. Carolyn welcomed us upon Check in and explained all the features of the home. I think she could sense our need for privacy yet she responded to every message I sent through vrbo very promptly. I am not a hot tub user but after a day of hiking it was our favorite part of the night. We like to cook our own meals and although the kitchen was not large, we found it had all we needed to cook. The grill on the patio was also a bonus.

My spouse and I enjoyed staying at Desert Jewel for many reasons. It is a beautiful property with unique decor. The host was welcoming upon arrival as well as throughout our stay. The property had an amazing view of the Red Rocks. It is about 10 to 15 minutes from shopping and dining - close enough yet far enough to be away from it all.There is an outside sitting area and a hot tub which we used and enjoyed. We were even invited to a dinner on our last night which we thoroughly enjoyed. We recommend staying here and would stay here again.

Great base for exploring the Sedona and Verde Valley regions

Really enjoyed our stay on the Red Rock Loop Trail. The unit was cozy and decently equipped for our needs. The location is excellent - looking across at Cathederal Rock and very quiet. Nice outdoor space to enjoy the sunsets. Access to the town was straightforward and we managed to avoid the bottlenecks down-town. Numerous good restaurants and three supermarkets within a short drive. Carolyn was very friendly and responsive.

Dream Location with Everything You Could Possibly Want

This studio apartment has everything you could possibly want, and the host Carolyn is a gem - very communicative and accommodating with suggestions, local advice, or property issues, but also unobtrusive. This property has the best view of Cathedral Rock in town, and watching the sunrise and sunset from the hot tub is such a treat, and the stars are bright for a late-night soak too. During the low season, every hike, restaurant, shopping trip, and view point was within an easy and picturesque 20 minute drive, and you can even walk to Crescent Moon Ranch and those trails straight from the property. The king size bed is so comfortable, the kitchenette has every appliance you could need, and the bathroom even has a heat fan for warming up after a hot tub dip on those cold desert nights. Carolyn even has a Red Rocks parking pass you can use! This property is truly perfect, and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on future visits. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
