The lighting in the room was inadequate and the water in the shower only reached warm temperature at best. Also didn’t appreciate the staff member who tried to double charge me at check in when I informed him that I paid for my stay through Expedia. Perhaps he was new bc later a senior staff member said he would have that corrected for me. The property itself was fine and the areas, sights, and dining surrounding the property were excellent.

The property is amazing! Pictures do not compare to it in person. Best theme style hotel we have seen or stayed at. Such a great location and the way they transformed the old power plant and saved so much of the “bones” of it is amazing. We had a great stay and would sure visit there again when we go back to Savannah. Thanks for the memories!

Staying in the heart…

Our stay at the Marriott was spectacular! This is a perfect place to explore the Historic Heart of Savannah from! The hotel itself is a museum set right on the boardwalk along the river. The conversion concept from power plant to luxury hotel is brilliantly executed in true Marriott style. The design is amazing and just brings a smile to your face. And of course in true Marriott fashion the linens, bed, shower & amenities are top notch. We drove there so had a vehicle and found the Valet Service easy to use & the staff were fantastic! Endless places to eat & grab a drink ! The hotel has a fabulous African themed lounge and 2 rooftop lounges, the Steakhouse was great and the boardwalk eateries were super casual with great food. And if you are looking for and love history then you are surrounded by it in this location. AND who doesn’t want to stay where they have a giant dinosaur in the lobby !

Great location. Great updates to hotel. Rooms were spacious and quiet and comfortable. The only issue is the day we checked in, it was raining. There are 3 buildings that are not connected on the inside. Had to walk and get drenched in the rain to get to our actual room. No offer of umbrella or use of the staff walkway. That was disappointing. Everything else was top notch.

The meal option ions were extremely limited for someone with celiac. No gluten free options at several restaurants. No gluten free pizza crust. Very poor information from concierge regarding gluten free options in nearby restaurants. The worst place I have stayed in years for menus regarding which items could be modified to be gluten free. Very disappointing.

Everything was great, Apart from that they pre charge $36 daily for food that then you can redeem in any of their 14 restaurants, everything was great. I will not book them for my next trip to Savannah
