FLOOR PLAN. The entry introduces a house of thick adobe walls at every turn. To the right a master suite, straight ahead is the living room, to the left is the kitchen and dining room. It is all very efficient for its generous size of rooms. The light-filled library connects the guest wing and media room stretching to the south end of the home. The layout accommodates a cozy stay for two or lots of family and friends, all in comfort and privacy.

LOCATION. If you like to walk, you will love this location. Walk down the hill 15 min to Canyon Road where some of our best restaurants reside. Continue down Canyon and up the hill to make a full circle in this enchanting neighborhood. You are never more than 15 minutes from anywhere in town and if you get too relaxed to walk, just UBER back.

We thought we wanted a view but the paled once we saw the gardens. The house was charming and exceeded all our expectations. We loved the simple elegance. And the location was so close to everything. We walked down to Canyon Road for coffee at the Tea House and dinner at Geronimo’s, on to the Plaza for cocktails at our favorite haunts....there is always UBER to bring you home. Our stay was a huge success and thanks to all that made it happen. We will be back!”

Great stay at Casa Ladera

Casa Ladera is a beautiful home in a great part of Santa Fe, very convenient to Canyon Rd and the square but also very near several of our favorite hikes, Picacho Peak and Atalaya Mountain. The home is wonderfully maintained with all amenities we are accustomed to at Caroline's properties. Only two of us on this trip but this home is well suited to multiple couples, there are multiple living areas and the sleeping areas are at opposite ends of the home. We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location and great property

From start to finish, this was a wonderful experience. The host/agent provided timely, helpful assistance getting settled into the house and the property was amazing. Clean. Elegant. Well stocked kitchen. Luxury amenities. Great location. Super helpful notebook with all of the information about the house and things to do in Santa Fe. We would definitely return.

Charming, Luxe Amenities and Comforts of Home!

Well-appointed, sparkling clean, luxurious, and charming home, with all the comforts of your own! The house was a perfect fit for our family of three (one 8-year-old daughter) and two sets of grandparents. We especially loved cooking in the “chef’s kitchen” and then enjoying the meal outside in the peaceful and beautiful natural landscape of the backyard. Centrally located - and within walking distance - to restaurants, the town center, Canyon Road (art galleries), and even hikes, this house was the best of both worlds for us...tranquil and peaceful in the heart of Santa Fe.

Unpleasant host at the last minute caused undue anxiety and stress ..

I reserved this property for my family for a very special Christmas experience. Caroline, the property manager handled the transaction. This was an expensive trip so after paying and completing everything that was required we felt that everything was set....I made this reservation in May of 2021 so at least six months out.....The night before my rental was to start at 5:30 in the evening I received a phone call from Caroline who asked if we could delay our start date because a film crew had rented the house and it needed to be cleaned and returned to its normal set up....This is insane !!! My wife and I were already in Santa Fe and our children were halfway driving from Houston. I insisted that she honor the arrival date because there wasn't anything left in town for eight people. We did manage to get in the house and they were still cleaning until 5 o'clock (checkin was three). the house was filthy, dust balls everywhere and you could tell the cleaning was a rush job. My wife vacuumed most of the house herself. There is a terrible ant infestation in the house and some of the bathroom sinks don't drain, the house needs to to professionally cleaned and the walls touched up, it felt heavily used ! There was even fake blood on a column outside the back door, the filming crew was evidently filming a horror movie.??? Caroline never once apologised for causing such anxiety and stress... I would not rent this house again or use Caroline, I would not trust her, So, after renting this property six months out and leaving it in better condition than we received it, I expect more from the rental agent and property condition.

Casa Ladera is highly enjoyable!

Casa Ladera is wonderful and the mature landscape around the property is plentiful and immaculate. The property has a great location and a big backyard. The kitchen has everything that we needed including a professional quality Wolf gas stove, plenty of counter space and all imaginable utensils. The living areas are comfortable and very nicely decorated. Likewise the Master bedroom suite is great and the other bedrooms are well furnished. Bathroom amenities are supplied and a welcome basket greets you into the house. Thank you to all staff and owners of this beautiful house for making our stay in Santa Fe comfortable and highly enjoyable!

Peace In The Midst of Covid

We needed a break from the city and Casa Ladera came to the rescue. It was just the two of us and I captured the sunny window seat to read a great novel and my husband took over the TV room to watch the games. At day's end, we cooked incredible meals in the well-equipped kitchen and retired to the gracious living room for a glass of wine. Seems simple enough but it was the best retreat ever.

First, Caroline is the most amazing concierge. While no house is without its quirks, Caroline will make your stay spectacular in every way. Beautiful home away from home.

‭My wife and I and 4 of our friends (total three couples) recently stayed at Casa Ladera. The property is very well maintained, spacious, clean and extremely cozy. It's situated in a very quiet and historic residential area in Santa Fe and yet it is within walking distance of Canyon Road and the Plaza. This is a beautiful home away from home with beautiful views from every window, the front porch and backyard terrace. It is a house in which I can personally see myself living in with a perfect layout of a gracious dining room, cozy living room, chef’s kitchen and very comfortable beds. The hosts have paid attention to every detail in making the guests' stay both comfortable and relaxing, from a binder that provides local information at your finger tips to mobile device charging cables next to every bed. They were very responsive and provided everything we needed during our stay. Without doubt, Casa Ladera is the best vacation rental we stayed in the past few years. We highly recommend this place. It was even better than we expected.

The Beauty of Casa Ladera

I've always read about the Land of Enchantment in brochures and other advertisements but not until I actually experienced it in Santa Fe was I totally convinced of its seduction to the senses. From the spiced up entrees of New Mexican cuisine, the refreshing scents of aspen trees in the surrounding mountains, to the gracious and relaxing ambiance of Casa Ladera, my wife and I have fallen in love with this beautiful town. Although I think a lot of the fun we had came from the company of good friends, we firmly believe that exquisite accommodations surrounded by a colorful manicured garden within close proximity to world-class art galleries, great restaurants and the natural beauty of the mountains makes for the perfect weekend getaway. FIVE STARS for Casa Ladera!!!

THE ESSENSE OF SANTA FE LIVING

The gardens couldn't be more beautiful. Their fresh scents greet you in the morning and put you to sleep at night. We loved the gracious and comfortable ambiance that is a part of every room. Everything about the house made us feel so at home that we never wanted to leave. However, we would like to come back for a longer stay next time. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
