A quiet stay despite ongoing restoration

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So glad to be back in Sanibel. So many rentals are unavailable due to hurricane damage that we were lucky to find this unit not far from our usual condo and within walking distance to the best Tiki Bar on the island. Five stars for the staff at Sanibel Moorings for making our stay enjoyable. Construction on nearby units was managed well to minimize noise and out of hours work. Look forward to the availability of additional units as the restoration is completed.

I really liked having an onsite manager there every day. The staff was awesome. The grounds and pool was very well maintained and the beach was so close. Our condo furnishings were dated but clean. Not having a washer and dryer in our condo was inconvenient but the laundry facilities were spotless and right on the canal, so I sat on the dock and enjoyed the dolphins while my laundry was washing and drying. The Sanibel Moorings is in a great location, close to everything. Real enjoyed our stay. Liked having electronic entrance to condo. Did not have to worry about a key. Had food trucks on Tuesday and coffee and donuts at the pool on Friday. Linen exchange on Tuesday and Friday was really nice and very well organized and quick. Nice to have three televisions. Highly recommend this property to anyone. I am 70 yrs old and slept on the pullout couch and slept just fine. We had 6 adults at the condo and it was just fine.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved Andi and the other staff- very helpful. Negatives to unit 1432: sofa bed very uncomfortable (if advertised as “sleeps six”, it should be a good sleeper sofa) / no towel bars or hooks in master bathroom (one end of a towel bar only in wall)/ no full length mirror/ no flipper spatula for eggs or other/ one side of toaster burned everything even when set on same level as other side which toasted well / some dishes and knives in the cupboards and drawers were dirty when we went to use for first time (I am not sure the dishwasher worked well enough)

This time I visited with my children and parents. We loved it! The gardens were more beautiful as I remember and the proximity to the beach was so convenient with young children. I will absolutely be visiting again in the future.

Basic, but comfortable

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is rated as "standard," and it is not as nice as some of the others we have seen. We have stayed in this same unit six times, because it is available the four weeks we choose to be in Sanibel. It is always clean, but the living room furniture, though comfortable, is wearing, but the dressers, bedside tables, beds, dining set, and porch furniture are all very nice. The wall hangings, upholstery, and lamps carry out the beach theme without being kitschy. The lighting could be brighter. The kitchen supplies are of uneven quality, if plentiful. We always bring knives, a griddle, and a water heating pot. The shower, refrigerator, and stove are aging and have such glitches as the stove drawer falling to the floor as it is opened. We must compliment the maintenance and custodial staff of the Moorings, however, who come immediately if anything truly needs repair or replacement. Overall, we would like it to be nicer, but we are comfortable there.

Spacious Unit / Lovely Patio - #642

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay very much in Unit #642. Found it to be spacious and more private than expected since it backs-up to a busy road. Lush trees are in between unit and street. Heavy plated windows block a lot of the street noise. Kitchen drawers and cabinets could use some updating, granite countertops have some cracks or holes that should be repaired. Loved the screened-in patio even with cars whizzing by. It was shady and perfect for reading or a cup of coffee in the morning. I have to say the one thing that bothered me the most was the parking spot assigned to #642. It's the first one closest to the street. It's hard to get into from the street; and it's dangerous getting out with cars entering from the street. I'd prefer a different (but close-by) spot next time.

Great place

The condo was very clean and big enough for 4, grounds were beautiful and everything was well maintained. Bring what you need for cooking (food, oil, seasoning, ect) as nothing is provided. This was our first stay on the East end of the island and was a little busier, but close to everything. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Great location and beach access, chairs and umbrellas were out everyday and very welcomed. Looking forward to our next visit.

We loved our stay here. Convenient to beach

This is a great place to stay. It is a great walk to the beach. We loved the bike rentals. One of the pluses for me to stay here was the kayak rentals. We were disappointed when we arrived that they were not renting them. We did rent them at Finnimore’s. The unit is nice. There is nothing provided for the beach. You have to bring your own towels, cooler, etc. I would stay here again. We loved the area, location, and management. We had a couple of maintenance issues and they were fixed immediately. We loved it here.
