Very pleasant staff at check-in and out and bar service in the foyer but this place was shabby. There was a smell of freshly painted woodwork inside so maybe they're in the midst of a refurbishment but there's a lot to do. My room was not pleasant. The carpet throughout the hotel was dirty and the corridos smelled of smoking. My sheets and towels were clean but the matress and foam pillow wasn't comfortable. I didn't dare look under the sheets or pillowcase. They felt slightly damp. The surfaces in the room were filthy. I cleaned them with wet loo roll before putting anything on them. It was super cheap and now I know why. Id stayed in a travel lodge the previous night for the same price but they were worlds apart.

Avoid at all costs – absolutely disgusting! This place should not even be allowed to operate as a hotel. The moment we walked in, the stench in reception hit us – it smelt like waste water, absolutely foul and stomach-turning. By the time we got to our room, our eyes were stinging and watering from the damp, mould and disgusting odour inside from the unbearable smell of paint fumes. The staff were completely unhelpful when we raised our concerns, showing no care or professionalism whatsoever. Within just 10 minutes, we had to leave for the sake of our health – staying any longer would have made us seriously unwell. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. It is a disgrace that OYO allows this property to trade under their name. Do yourself a favour and book literally anywhere else.

I prepaid for breakfast on my two day stay. No memtion in thr nooking that it was continental at something like £14 per day. No hot food. No tables prepared to sit at on day two at 8.00 nothing was set out. Basically, i f i gad the time and energy i would take tbrm yo task for a refund. I booked via Expedia expecting some sort pf booking assurety. Badly ket down

I did not stay, was not given a refund even 4 months in advance. No replies to email. The address on communications through Expedia was given as 1 Reigate Road. Google maps shows it about 5 miles from that address. After a 9 hour flight and an 8 hour time change I could not risk this place for me or the friends I was with.

Avoid - Just choose somewhere else.

Tv had no signal. WiFi didn’t extend to our room so apps wouldn’t work on tv and phones and tablets couldn’t connect to WiFi. Electrical sockets not working. Ethernet cable hanging out of wall. Broken shelf sat on floor ehen entered room. Room and paintwork tired and flaking. Light fittings broken. Corridors smell of cigarette smoke. Uncomfortable bed, rubbish pillows, no bathroom bin, taps running (not dripping - running continuously) as they won’t turn off properly. Any concerns ignored by receptionist. I swear we are not picky travellers - we’ve stayed at hotels with poor ratings that we’ve enjoyed and we will give credit where credit is due but this place’s only redeeming feature is its distance from the airport.

We arrived at the hotel and used an email with our room no 20 with the code to get in. Code didn’t work and phone number left on reception desk who gave us a different code to get in. Room standard was poor as dirty and stains over carpet. Also no soap or shampoo in dispensers. Also when about to go asleep, we hear the door and a random gentleman walked in our room!!! I also emailed to complain that night, which was unanswered. All of this is unacceptable!!!

The beds are so warn we got stabbed by springs , it was extremely hot in the room we had to leave the patio door wide open all night , the washroom was not clean and we had to go and ask for pillows as the ones we had were two shoved in a case that made half a pillow they were so warn and old. The girl on shift was lovely very thankful for her and all her help with this very not recommend stay !
The top pillow was given to us upon request the bottom is what we had in the rooms 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'll be honest. I was very glad to be staying just for one night with my husband. I don't recommend hotel to solo female travellers as I mentioned to my husband I wouldn't feel safe going here alone as a female. Staff at reception didn't speak much English or at least didn't understand much of what we were saying. They weren't rude just unhelpful. The cleanliness..... They tried. But the doors felt sticky, bath didn't look clean. The only thing that appeared to be clean to me was the bed sheets and the room looked vacuumed. For one cheap night it satisfies but Im used to better quality.

Health hazard

This building is a health hazard needs to be demolished as its got mould n damp throughout the complete building i had to take a trip to hospital to be checked out cos of difficulties breathing due to the damp and mould.

“I checked in to this property and found the experience very difficult. A new receptionist was left alone to manage check-ins and was unsure how to respond when the fire alarm went off. Parking registration was confusing — despite staying one night, I had to register for two days to avoid a fine. The allocated room code did not work consistently, even after being reset. Corridors were full of building equipment and tools, which did not feel safe or welcoming. Because of these issues, I decided not to stay. This property needs better organisation and clearer guest support.”

The lady on reception was lovely — probably because she’s the only thing about this hotel worth smiling about. Unfortunately, everything else is a disaster. The moment you grab your key, the whole experience takes a nosedive. The décor feels like Basil Fawlty lost a bet, had a few too many drinks, and then let someone with zero sense of taste finish the wallpapering. The plumbing is unreliable at best, and the beds… well, they’re less “comfortable furniture” and more “medieval torture device disguised as a mattress.” Sleeping on them felt like wrestling with a shopping trolley, and the bloodstains on the sheets? Let’s just say they add an unexpected “personal touch.” The carpets probably haven’t seen a vacuum cleaner since the 1960s and are so grimy they seem to have their own ecosystem. I half expected David Attenborough to pop out from under the bed to narrate the wildlife thriving in the dust and grime. Calling this place a “hotel” is generous. It’s not a getaway — it’s a cruel experiment in patience and tolerance. If the owners spent half as much time cleaning as they do cutting corners, it might barely scrape the level of “tolerable.” Honestly, you’d be better off sleeping in a bus stop, a skip, or even a cow field. You’d be cleaner, more comfortable, and less likely to leave needing antibiotics.
