My husband, sons, and I stayed a week in this condo at The Shores. The condo is close to a lot of activities. We were able to rent jet skis from a place only 10 minutes away and visit Cedar Point which was ~25 minutes away, plus there were good restaurants and shopping close - some walking distance.
The condo could use some updating as the carpet in the living room area was heavily stained and the sliding doors to the balconies were very difficult to open and close. I was disappointed also with the cleanliness of the bath tub as you could tell it had not been scrubbed prior to our visit and the curtain could have used a wash/change.
I also feel the promotion of the property could have been handled more honestly. The picture in the posting of the private beach is not current and does not give an accurate representation of the beach available. The beach is very small, there is maybe 5 feet of space from the start of the beach to the water. We booked this trip for the beach so this was a bit disappointing. There is a dock area with lounge chairs available to sit/lay out and there is enough beach for the kids to play with sand toys but it is not a beach you can set up on for the day. The pool and hot tub is nice but does get crowded during the day especially as the weekend neared and more people came for long weekend trips. Additionally, the posting made note to having access to propane grills which you do not -charcoal only. Last, we arrived about an hour early due to a miscalculation on our side and our kids only needing one stop on the trip. I reached out to the property owner to see if we could get in a little early and was told we couldn’t because “the cleaning people were still there”. We were there, no one was at the condo. We felt if he wanted to stick to the check-in time, he could have just told us that.
