We were so looking forward to this stay, four nights to relax and enjoy this quaint hideaway. Very thoughtful and beautifully decorated, that was the extent of the enjoyment of our stay. Relax with a hot shower or soak in the tub? Not our experience, tepid water at best. The first two nights we were able to sleep some, beds and comfortable linens yes, constant noise outside our garden room was somewhat drowned out with a background noise app. Friday and Saturday night were atrocious! Obnoxious and loud parties by the fire until 4am, a polite request to keep it down only seemed to fuel the disrespect. The food? Don’t let the Michelin recommendation fool you, the most underwhelming meal we have had in some time with service to match. We so wanted this to be our go to place when staying in Palm Springs, but it missed the mark on so many levels. Aesthetically pleasing yes, beyond that a complete miss.

Wow! All the stars possible for this absolutely perfect stay! From the moment we arrived, we realize this was a very, very special place. With the twinkling holiday lights, it felt truly magical. Our dinner was beyond delicious, followed up by s’mores by the fire, one of our best nights of sleep in ages, then a breakfast buffet that feels like you are waking up at a gourmet friend’s artistic home. Healthy and fresh breakfast provided by the hotel daily. Room was clean and thoughtfully designed with a very comfortable bed and a private terrace in the back which was great for letting in natural light without sacrificing privacy. Pool area and grounds were beautiful and well-maintained and the hotel had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere that made it feel secluded despite the convenient location. Staff were kind and helpful.

Desert retreat

It’s hard to even call Sparrows Lodge a hotel. It is such a special and peaceful retreat. Every space, indoor and out was beautiful.
