Such a nice place to stay. Quaint, cosy, nice area to walk the ocean shore. Lovely little downtown with great shops and restaurants. Hot tub and pool for relaxing. Very nice staff. I'm so glad we stayed here, I loved it!

Super Noisy Pullout Bed

We got a cottage with a king bed and a pull out couch. My teen son slept on the pullout and it was SO squeaky and noisy that every time he shifted I could hear it through my earplugs. We got very little sleep because he was trying to lay still despite being uncomfortable, but when he did move I could hear it creaking and squeaking.

This is a quaint place to stay. A bit dated though but if you’re looking for a safe and quiet place to relax. It’s one of the place I would recommend. The hot food are good but the bread was a little bit stale. Our friends stayed on the other side of the property and they got a continental breakfast which according to them was not good at all. We went night swimming in the pool but the restrooms or changing areas were already closed. Need more cleaning up and maintenance on the pool area.

I have stayed here before a few years ago and liked it and thought it was keep up better then. It just didn’t seem as neat and tidy. The room was clean, comfortable bed, toilet is to low needs to be replaced, sink was slow to drain and shower head was leaking water toward the shower door which went on the floor. I did tell the front desk about it. They need to reduce the bathroom. Grounds need upkeep.

Overall the property is nice, the mattress and sofa bed need(urgently) to be upgraded after a long day out walking and enjoying outside you’d expect to be able to rest but the mattress is very uncomfortable and sofa bed you’re laying down on pure springs no cushion. It would be nice if the rooms description would include what room you’re getting but it seems the staff will accommodate you on whichever room they want(not sure if this is some kind of profiling but definitely have the impression) I hope this not the case.

My partner and I throughly enjoyed our stay. The first woman I met at check in was super friendly and informative. She even gave us an upgrade without asking and I was super excited. Our room was clean and beautiful, we also paid the extra to get a full breakfast and it was delicious. The only problem I ran into that was a bit frustrating.. my partner and I wanted to extend our stay by adding an extra day but the 2nd women we met in the morning was very rude. Once I tried to rebook, she said to just add an extra night through Expedia to get the same rate but I told her that the women before had upgraded our stay. I had asked if she could honor our rate so we could stay in the same room. She said no, if we wanted an extra night to just pay the extra for the better room or else she said we would have to take out all of our things and wait for the other room to be available. It was super inconvenient to have to do all that so we ended up just leaving and not getting an extra night. Everything was perfect until then.

We had one night at the lodge. The room looked fine, but the mattress was uncomfortable/ old. The main problem is that the walls are paper thin and you could hear your neighbors above and next door all night. They also allow dogs to run right pu Side your terrace all night, so you have no privacy at all. The breakfast is a grab bag with Costco items.
