Some minor upkeep is needed (sliding door is hard to open, beds squeak, deep clean is needed, etc.). Nicely furnished and plenty of room for our family of four.

Wonderful property, beautiful view!

This was a beautiful unit with a gorgeous view of the beach and water. It was one of the cleanest properties I have ever rented.

Over all stay was good

We had a great stage. Just issues with hair in showers and sink. The sink was clogged up. Also could use more variety in the kitchen. (Wine glasses)

Parents 50th Anniversary

Condonwas as advertised, clean and comfy. The 11th balcony had a perfect view of ocean. Clean pools and hot tubs. Overall a great stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time and condo was very nice. We did have a little problem when we arrived, condo was not ready at check in time. We were given another place to wait while they finished cleaning. Think we got in our room by 7 pm and it was very clean. Things happen, and it was handled the best they could.

Great getaway

We had a great time here. The unit was neat and had everything we needed, was nice to have televisions in bedrooms as well as living area. I think it helped that we stayed at the end of August so it wasn’t as busy…during peak season I could see the pool, beach, elevators getting pretty crowded. I did have a lot of trouble with my back (never have had before) after sleeping in the master bed though…I saw some other comments about this and would recommend upgrading this.

The beach

The room was beautiful, the location was great, the beds and pillows were horrible and the dryer squeaked so badly you could not stay in the room while it was running. The door going from the living area to the balcony was very hard to open and close. I waited 45 minutes, in line, just to get a parking pass. The pool was not open the hours it was supposed to be open.

Beware

Door code did not work upon arrival. Then we finally get into our room it was far from clean furniture stained also had food crumbs and hair all over the couch. Property manager wasn’t much help spent entire trip setting on sheets.

I was given the incorrect entry code. I had my things loaded on a cart and waited 20 minutes to get in since the code I was given did not work.

The condo was the perfect size for our family of four and was recently renovated. My complaints about 1113 are: (1) The dryer was so noisy, we couldn’t run it after bedtime or while trying to watch tv. (2) The showers were not very clean. There was mold in both bathrooms. The Phoenix 5 as a whole offered nice amenities, but was very crowded. We waiting as long as 10-15 minutes in line for elevators. It was also challenging finding an open chair and room in the pool to swim.

1st family vacation

Reviewer Comments: We have a 22 month old so this was our first family vacation together. While the views were stunning from the 11th floor the room itself was underwhelming to say the least.The furniture had hair on them so tells me the vacuuming was poorly done. The bathroom door for main suite doesn’t close all the way before hitting frame of door. The main suite bed is loud when you get up during night. Overall the trip was nice and we didn’t let this deter us from having a memorable first family vacay

Newly renovated condo but not clean

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pretty condo with an amazing view of the ocean, in a great location but NOT clean. The bed in the master had no bedding on it when we arrived. We called to get assistance, and never got a return call. Someone showed up within the hour to make the bed. The cleaning company has not been 'cleaning' this condo. I had to vacuum the area rugs to remove visible dirt upon arrival. Both bathrooms were very dirty, visible hair in both showers, mold, orange scum, and dirty drains. There was a clogged sink drain in our master bathroom. Smudges on the bathroom mirrors. All the white baseboards had visible dirt and hair on them. The coffee pot did not work. The sliding glass door to the balcony would barley slide open. No light bulb in lamp on nightstand in master. Two light bulbs were missing from the master bathroom fixture. Visible sprayed soda on the area under the eat in bar. And area rugs were visibly dirty. This unit definitely did not have a 'clean and comfy' feel to it. Disappointing conditions to walk into after a 15 hour drive to the beach for our vacation.

Leak in unit before our stay; walked into a dirty unit

I really want to say this is a great location. However upon check-in it was quite obvious that the cleaning of the unit had not been completed. We reached out to the management group via the VRBO app within the first few minutes. The only towels supplied in our unit were wet and left on the floor. We have a family of 5 and only had 4 large towels. Within 5 minutes of check-in I was running a load of towels in the washing machine. Not an ideal way to start the vacation off. We also had a wet shower curtain and liner left in the middle of the second bedroom and there was no shower rod at all. There was a large hole in the second shower ceiling and obvious water damage. The hole was 15 inches square and you could see up to the floor above, not ideal when taking a shower. When putting away the dishes that were left in the dishwasher, a shelf fell out of the cupboard because it only had 3 of 4 shelf pegs. On the 3rd day of our stay we finally heard back from the property management group. According to them, there was a water leak in the unit above and maintenance was supposed to fix the issue however it appeared that they did not finish the job and utilized the towels in the unit to clean up the water damage. Why there was never a cleaning performed after maintenance completed their job is a mystery to us. As of today, we had not received any compensation for our stay and feel like this is not an ideal start to a vacation. Place is great, but the property management is difficult.

A few lamps and outlets didn't work. Pull out couch mattress was so disgusting!! Freezer wasn't working and had 2 inches of ice on the bottom. I had to fix it because property management never returned my call! I was there for 6 days! They didn't offer to make things right either!! I realize that things happen but to not return my call my whole stay is unprofessional! I will not be returning!!

We usually stay at the Palm and were looking for something a little more affordable and this was it. Great location near all the grocery stores and restaurants. Make sure to grab some of the best fried shrimp, and a bushwacker from doc's across the road!!

Description of the unit was accurate including amenities. Bathrooms, appliances, general cleaning very good; dusty baseboards and fixtures - a spring cleaning was in order. This was an older building so a little shabby in places. 3 DVD players in the unit, none worked. Beautiful view and beach! Nice work-out room with good equipment. Enjoyed walking through Gulf Shores park and visiting Fort Morgan. Lots of restaurants to choose from.
