Overall, the property was good clean, and well-maintained, and the breakfast coupon was AWESOME. Bad news rates were high for property amenities and there was NO safety or additional latch on slider facing the parking lot a serious safety issue.

When we first checked in the person at the front counter informed me that the owner of the property doesn't except anyone from the Boise or Meridian Idaho area. I was shocked. The employee claimed that we could stay but for future reference just know that you will more than likely be turned away if we tried to stay here again just because we are from Meridian. Having grown up in Boise and living in Meridian since graduating from college in 1982 i couldn't believe what i was hearing that the owner of an international hotel chain facility would discriminate agaisnt a couple of 65 year olds who just like to get out of town for a night, go shopping in another community go out for dinner and spend money at local businesses would be treated this way for totally not knowing anything about us! Pure discrimination. I'm white anglo-saxton highly educated 65 year old professional and to hear this caught me totally off guard. I will never grace this place with my presence again and i think expedia and Holiday inn corporate needs to know that this is going on at one of their locations. It soured my desire to ever stay at a holiday inn again and I've made sure to let a wide range of people i deal with in the business world know about this unfortunate act. The people employed here are without question very friendly, kind and hard working people, they just have to work for a real piece of crap! Cheers!
