We enjoyed the oceanfront view, pool, atrium and even got to hold the Macaw they had!!! We enjoyed the pool up until we found a roach crawling on the emergency float. We also had our toilet clogged which took over 30 mins and 2 calls to get handled. The maintenance guy was super nice and got it fixed in seconds, it’s just the principal of the situation.

Quirky hotel on the beach!

This quirky, dated, but loveable hotel hosts a menagerie of tropical birds, lizards and fish in an atrium along with an indoor hot tub, pool and tiki bar. The hotel is probably not far off of a major renovation. The kitchenette rooms, while completely functional, are a little tardy. The rooms are spacious and we really enjoyed watching the sunrise from our balcony. Ample parking and walkable to the best sunset spot in OC. A value beachfront stay away from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk!

I stayed in this property for a teachers’ conference. The staff I spoke to were very polite and more than willing to help. The room was clean and quiet. I also liked the breakfast and the birds they have in the lobby. The only thing I did not like was the parking options. The hotel per se doesn’t have that many parking spaces so we had to park by the street and we weren’t sure about how safe it was. Nothing happened but we would have preferred to park in the property. Nevertheless, it was a great stay.

The inside is beautiful but the outside and even patio area could be re done on the first floor rooms. furniture was really out dated out side on the patio. This is not a quiet place to stay. Unless it’s after 10PM.

Very nice unique courtyard. Excellent staff and service. Coffee machine available all the time conveniently located by the enter to the beach. Definitely top of ours next year destination.
