For uk travellers probably comparable to premier inn. Darmstadt a nice city - Matildenhohe very picturesque, lovely Herrengarten park, waldspirale architecture, and fossils in messel - all worth seeing. Excellent public transport - clean, efficient and cheap. Good base to explore the region - had a very enjoyable stay "
