Disappointed in Comfort Inn-JFK

Sadly, the day we were due to arrive at Comfort Inn, JFK. On day of arrival, my Mother was placed into Hospice care with the expectation that she would pass within a day or so. For only this reason, we had to cancel. Hotels.com has been very helpful with trying to get relief from the cancellation fee, but Comfort Inn's cold refusal to help has added to our grief. I will continue to use Hotels.com, but Comfort Inn needs some compassion for such cases.

It was hard to find parking but not impossible. If you're on a road trip looking for a room for the night then this is a good option. Clean room and nice staff makes up for the location.

Will Use this Hotel Again

This accommodation is perfect for a long layover or to break up a long journey, as was our case returning from Europe and heading to Hawaii. The location is pretty terrible, there is no walking around, but the free hotel shuttle is timely, the staff is super friendly, the takeout food menus are good (we ordered Chinese, very good!) and the breakfast is staffed by a lovely attendant (she prepped the waffles!). The room is clean and the bathroom is quite nice and contemporary. Enjoyed the shower immensely. There were some ants in the room, but honestly not a big deal.

It is across the street from the dump or just a parking lot of dump trucks. Very noisy area and thin walls. Everyone was nice . Check in was easy. Needed the shuttle for an easy flight and it does not start till 5am. No place to eat a meal.
