Thought being a Wyndham property it'd live up to the name. Must be newly acquired. Rooms were ok, doors looked like they've been there for a long time. Balcony doors didn’t seem like they locked securely. Being right off the highway and staying by myself with my young daughter made me a bit nervous. No breakfast. I didn't have any issues but i was definitely on high alert the whole stay. Desk staff was very friendly. Discount at the diner for staying was appreciated.

Property was not clean and cards and tv didn’t work. We stayed 2 nights and every time we went out the cards never worked and we had to go to the front desk and get another one. Also the Tv didn’t work and just an overall poor establishment.

do not stay!!

don’t let the pictures fool you… this place is sketchy and disgusting. stained mattress, ripped shower curtain, holes in the walls, filth. no security, essentially anybody could walk in. genuinely worried for my safety the whole night. lady at the check in was making jokes that i looked too young to stay, which make me really uncomfortable. would never recommend this place to anybody. the cheap price is not worth it at all.

This is a fine place to stay if you’re planning a quick one night trip and is the definition of “you get what you pay for”. Knowing we didn’t pay a lot, we didn’t expect a lot and that’s what we got. It was a basic room with a shower that I wouldn’t let my kids go in. The balcony light stayed on until midnight and was shining through the sliders until it turned off. I called down to the front desk to ask when it would turn off and was told 10pm. When that time came and went I called down again and was given an attitude and told to shut the curtains. Which I had already done. The pool area was dirty. The wet towels there at night were still there the next morning. We were only there 12 hours which is why we settled for a cheap HoJo. But if we were going to be there any longer I’d look elsewhere.

1) safety the side entrance door was always open.2) in the room had bugs I was do scared, 3) the room next to us was playing music all night we couldn’t sleep, 4) my husband was calling the front desk no one pick up,I was disappointed because the hotel is a run down. I used to love stay at the Howard Johnson hotel not anymore. they should have a cut off time for music. It is hard when people spend their money for a weekend getaway and they cannot sleep. We had to buy our own toilet paper, they left a roll with less than half we was calling the front desk no one answered so my husband went to the gas station to get some. It was a terrible experience! I have to look for another hotel now sorry to say.

The room was very dirty… trash under beds, on balcony and in drawers. The furniture in the balcony and in the pool area was broken. Our room keys kept not working… we were down swimming at the pool and had to walk through the hotel to the lobby soaking wet to get new room keys when ours stopped working. The people were nice… the pool seemed clean… definitely room for improvement.

Under new management and they were very helpful, polite, and seem to be moving the hotel in a great direction. The building, rooms and pool were all updated since last time I was there a few years ago and the hotel itself is in a perfect location. I highly recommend staying here.

Property is very close to Foxwoods. Great Diner next Door. Women I spoke with for reservation was very nice. Very close to highway, easy on and off. Hotel needs TLC. Rooms were clean but needs to be painted. Floor molding was coming off the wall in the room I was in. Carpets could be replaced both in the hallways and room.

Very Very dated property. Well kept but dated. Staff was great. Location was great. Central to everything. Diner next door was amazing. If u plan on staying just know it’s not luxurious but it will do the job for a cheap stay. Didn’t get to use the indoor pool but we saw people enjoying it.

We stay at this hotel a lot for our trips to the area casinos. It’s n this last trip I was unable to sleep due to the very uncomfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was very dirty so we did not shower. Due to the convenient location we will be staying here still for our casino trips. Just bring your own pillows!

Never again

The premises were dirty and in need of serious upgrading. The bathroom had spackle patches all over the walls, the sink faucet was loose and difficult to use. There was a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, but the jets didnt work. The heater was extremely loud and kept us up most the night. Also located close to the highway and we heard traffic throughout the night. Pool area was in poor condition with broken chairs, no available towels, and had an extremely strong odor of chlorine which literally made us cough and burned our eyes. Pool also closed early at 8:00.
