The property manager was adequately helpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was more than happy with the location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

The location of this rental is excellent, with beach access directly across the street. The decor is charming, the bed was comfortable, and the covered deck is spacious and enjoyable. The air conditioning worked very well, and having a small washer and dryer available was a nice convenience.Unfortunately, cleanliness and maintenance issues significantly impacted our stay. The unit had a noticeable stale cigarette and musty mold odor. The floors were extremely dirty—our feet were black after walking around for a short time. Several throw rugs were visibly dirty, and two appeared to have dog urine on them. We also found the bed linens to be unclean and ended up spending part of our vacation washing linens and cleaning the floors ourselves. Additionally, the floors throughout the unit are quite uneven. The living area also felt crowded due to the amount of furniture, making it difficult to navigate a clear walking path.For future guests, I would suggest a thorough deep cleaning of the property, replacing the stained mat in front of the oven, and adding an air freshener plug-in to help with the odor. A few kitchen additions, such as a garlic press and a large stock pot for seafood boils, would also be appreciated.Overall, the location and amenities have great potential, but the cleanliness and layout issues need to be addressed.
