The semi-open concept layout keeps the living & dining area connected to the kitchen for easy conversation, while still giving each space its own cozy identity. A nostalgic pass-through window functions as a practical island between the kitchen and living area, perfect for serving meals, setting out snacks, or chatting while you cook. Built-in bookshelves add warmth and character, styled with decor, books, and games to enjoy during your stay.

Both king bedrooms offer a desk perfect for remote work.

The Secondary Bedrooms:
• A second king bedroom off of the living area (Purple3 hybrid mattress). You will be in a dual-aspect bedroom bringing in beautiful natural light from two directions, an an oversized window.
• The third bedroom with two twin beds, offering plenty of space to rest after a long day. All bedrooms have blackout curtains. Situated in a peaceful neighborhood make it easy to rest or stay productive.

The Outdoor Space
Afternoons turn into evening fun with a game of corn hole, or sharing stories and s’mores around the fire pit beneath the wide Texas sky. Cool off in our charming stock-tank pool, clean, pump-filtered, and ready for lounging, dipping, or watching a sunset.

Guest Access
The home is equipped with a smart lock for keyless entry. Guests have full access to the house and backyard. Guests do not have access to the housekeeping closets. All local guests must contact us prior to booking.

Interaction with guests
We are a self check-in, contactless home. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival.
We will be available on the app or through the number we will provide to you. Our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a quick message or phone call away!

Other details to note
– There is a $350.00 security deposit to cover any damages. The deposit will be automatically collected and will be returned back to you 48 hours after checkout if there are no damages.
– There is a $100.00 Pet Fee for up to two pets. An additional $50.00 for the third pet. Three pets max. This will be charged separately.
– The pool opens Memorial Day weekend (May) - October 31st.
– The pool closes November - April.
– We provide a pool pump, leaf skimmer, and pool vacuum for the pool.
– The back house is available for rent as well (click on our profile to see the combined listing). It is completely separated by a wooden fence but can be opened when the compound listing is booked.
– Guests are responsible for cleaning the grill after use.
– Propane is provided. Charcoal and firewood are not provided.
– The refrigerator water and ice maker are not connected.
– Enjoy a spacious, open primary suite with a flowing bedroom‑to‑bath layout (no bathroom door) that feels like a private spa retreat.

History
Built in the 1920’s, this home is among the rare surviving residences from Midland’s early oil boom era. While only a handful of homes from before 1930 remain today, this one still stands proudly, offering guests a glimpse into the charm and craftsmanship of nearly a century ago. From its vintage architectural details to its location in the heart of Midland’s historic district, it’s more than a place to stay—it’s a living piece of the city’s story.
