Room was very clean, staff was nice. Big drawback is the location. Yes via car it's in a good location. However, if you want to go for a walk there's nothing nice around the property...or a coffee shop ..area is dirty and many homeless roaming around...so definitely not safe at night

Disappointing!

John was great at the font desk. Shabby and old but clean room.No table lamps for reading. terrible tv options. wifi is not dependable. Room has zero charm. Motel 6 amenities are superior. $200 per night. The only reason to stay here is the location! Not recommended at this price.

Perfect for the first night of our holiday. We know the area and although it doesn’t look great in a few places , it is a safe area. 15 minute walk to the start of Venice beach. If you want a cheap hotel in great location then The Jolly Roger is perfect, No frills but you get what you pay for,

We stayed for two nights. Free parking is available and on Wednesday and Thursday night we had no problem finding parking at night. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, there’s coffee machine and a fridge. We got beach towels to take with us to the beach. The hotel is an no smoking hotel, rooms are fresh and clean. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend it!
