For those who long to stay in an 18th or 19th century palace, Palacio fits the bill. The decor brings one back to the luxury of a foregone era, but in a good way and with the inclusion of modern amenities. Also conveniently located near Praca de Luis de Camoes with many dining options nearby and attractions within walking distance. The sole disappointment was the breakfast experience- we had scheduled a couple of early events and on the first morning were told by staff that taking something to go prior to the official start time of breakfast was not permitted. Disappointed, we were fortunately able to grab some delicious pastries across Praca Camoes which satisfied our need for a quick bite. The next morning, we learned that travel breakfasts are provided for guests with early activities, which is a nice touch, though not nearly as satisfying as a buffet breakfast, but I suppose that is the tradeoff of having a packed schedule. Our final morning, we were finally able to enjoy the breakfast buffet. Overall, I enjoyed the antique decor, staff attentiveness, and location, such that I would return when visiting Lisbon again.

An Exquisite Boutique Hotel

What a "gem" of a hotel. The moment we entered we knew we should have stayed earlier in our trip. We were offered a quiet room for team, various cold beverages, just to relax. My wife needed a converter to charge her cellphone and the staff quickly offered her one for use in the lobby. The rooms were large and very comfortable. There is a "help yourself to wine" in the basement, allowing you to step outside into a beautiful garden to sit at a fairly private table, or in a room or to take upstairs. Everything is done in a manner to make you feel at home!

Impeccable Service and stunning Room

The service at the hotel was excellent. We arrived a bit earlier than the usual check-in time just to drop off our luggage, but the staff kindly called us shortly after to let us know that our room was ready earlier than expected. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly. One of the staff members took us to our room and gave us a detailed introduction to everything. When we arrived, we noticed that many staff were diligently cleaning, and it really showed, the room was spotless! The hotel room itself was absolutely stunning, the most beautiful I’ve ever stayed in. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and we were very satisfied. If we ever return to Lisbon, we’ll definitely stay here again. I’d love to try one of the other room types next time!

The property is exceptional in many ways - tea services, wine & cheese services, private sitting rooms & gardens, exceptional breakfast service, roman bath & spa among many! The room we stayed in (2nd Floor, Room 4) may have had a mold issue (crumbling paint above the bed and bath area). We woke with sore throats and coughing - possibly attributed to lack of filter changes or mold.

The hotel is an old palace that belonged to a rich Portuguese family which traded in spices. It breathes history through every wall, carpet, window, fixture….a lovely place if you are a History lover or if you simply want to walk and dine in Lisbon. Highly recommended!

This truly is a gem in Lisbon! From the moment you walk into the Palacio, the staff was so friendly and helpful which sets the tone! Our room was just as pictured and a beautiful bathroom with a garden view. We enjoyed complimentary wine and cheeses in the garden in the afternoon. The breakfast was the best of our 2 week travels in Europe- each room had specially foods while the pianist played music. Highly recommend this 4 ⭐️ which is in my opinion a 5 ⭐️ because of it’s service and ambiance!

Beautiful hotel, centrally located -between Bairro Alto and Chiado. Lovely amenities, nice decor, enjoyed the breakfast, the room was reasonably soundproofed and the staff was very friendly. If you can make the time, reserve a table for their Fado dinner show.

This hotel offered a very unique experience - a refurbished palace from 1800!! how fabulous. there were welcome/anytime drinks at the bar with custard tarts, wine tasting with a great outside lounge area, intimate spa facilities and a great breakfast with hot and cold selections including a great selection of fresh baked pastries. the staff were soooo friendly and helpful. The ONLY negative to be aware of is if you get a room facing the street it may prove to be a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper.

The Palace was exceptionally beautiful. Every corner of this hotel had elegant charm and the staff was so welcoming and super nice. Both ladies at the spa were amazing especially Johaira, our waitor Clever at the Fado restaurant was so friendly and Victoria at the front desk was just absolutely sweet.
