My personal information was stolen by a 3rd party company the hotel uses. I was then targeted by scammers to input my credit card to keep my reservation secure. Sadly, I had to inform the hotel of this breach of data, not the other way around. I was never given clear information of what exact data was stolen and when I asked for compensation I was told it wasn’t their fault.
In hindsight I should have just cancelled my reservation as the “not our fault” attitude continued into my stay.
I asked for late check out, which I thought was a great way for the hotel to make up for the data breach. But was told it was impossible. Reception told me that it was not their fault they couldn’t help me, it was housekeeping's fault.
Complete lack of any kind of effort to make up for the issues they caused me.
