‘Classy Marques Apartment in Lisbon
The apartment is clean well appointed (sharp knives, English language tv channels) and is located just far enough from the tourist areas to be authentic. We would recommend this apartment for any short stay but it is not suitable for a long stay (more than a few days).There is only one special key to the apartment which is okay if you are sticking together as a group but over the three weeks we stayed there we, on occasion wanted to go our separate ways, very difficult with one key.We paid 65 euro for cleaning but that only covered the cleaning after we left, we were expected to wash our own towels and bed linen.We have stayed in many apartments around the world for weeks at a time and always the people ahead of you leave somethings behind. If you run out you buy some more and leave any leftovers for the next people. This apartment did not work that way. There was no salt and pepper, no oil, no spare toilet rolls or cleaning fluids, nothing. Could not be coincidence that every thing ran out at the same time and the previous people did not replace anything. More likely the owner or the cleaner cleaned everything out after the last tenant. Not a good look. We left heaps behind for the next people. It would be interesting to know if they got it.
