I recently stayed at this hotel, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The only so-called advantage is its proximity to the train station. However, if you’re not using the train, the location is not great—there’s little to do in the area, and the nearby restaurants are not worth visiting. The property itself is severely outdated. My room had a leaking issue, and to make matters worse, the heating is no use due to the bad insulation, making my stay very uncomfortable. When I asked to change rooms, the staff outright refused, claiming the hotel was fully booked. However, when I checked online, I immediately saw availability for the exact same type of room I was staying in! This proves that the staff was lying and simply didn’t want to accommodate the request. The service was just as bad as the condition of the hotel. The staff was unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to solve any issues. Rather than taking responsibility, they made excuses and acted as if guest comfort wasn’t their concern. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money. The only thing you’re really paying for is being near the train station—but if you don’t need the train, that benefit is meaningless. With outdated rooms, poor service, and dishonest staff, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are far better options available for the same price or even less.

Comfort and great location. However, there is room for improvement for the hotel luggage storage system. If a tagging or system is implement, it should be consistent and communicate amongst the member of staff, to avoid any confusion or loss of luggage.

Fine for the price

I was maybe expecting a bit more. There was nothing terribly wrong with the place. It was clean and the staff were good. The location was perfect and we were on a high floor with an amazing view. The hot water took about 5 minutes to warm up for a shower. I had asked for my sheets to be changed after a few days but they said there was no housekeeping staff in that day which I found odd. It was fine to not have them changed. Just odd that there were days without housekeeping in site. It was also quite awkward to have a toilet behind the kitchen and the main bath and sink through 3 doors on the other side of the space.

Convenient and comfortable

The location is great, right by a big shopping centre with a huge supermarket inside, a few minutes walk to the centre of town and the square, coffee shops and restaurants. Car park was easy to access and very secure - the hotel sent detailed instructions ahead of our stay. The apartment itself was great for a family and having a small kitchen was very useful. Room and temperature inside in winter was very comfortable. We did find the room quite dusty eg the edges/corners and under the sofa and our socks were black on the bottom after walking around in the room for a bit. Could be a little loud at times if you have noisy neighbours but otherwise quiet in the room. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was simple but nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is 5 minutes away from the train station, 3 minutes away from a big shopping mall and close to the old city. The staff was very friendly, as well.

Okay stay.

It was ‘okay’. Certainly not the best Citadines I’ve stayed at. There are stains, rips and it wasn’t to a high standard of cleaning, when you really looked. I hate interconnecting doors. Unless you are sharing that door with someone else. In this case I should have been as I made two bookings. I don’t understand why they didn’t do it. With those doors, noise and cooking smells travel. You could hear people clicking off lights! Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Property was very easy to get to and useful being literally above the Lille Westfield.

As it was a family stay with a sofa bed, it would have been nice if the sofa bed was pre-made. This is our first experience travelling around that it wasn't. With a family with children, the floors were terribly dirty. Walk around the room and you'll end up with black feet!

Stunning hotel in the centre of Lille. Perfect location for exploring, shopping and you’ll find plenty of places to eat and drink. We arrived on the Eurostar which was a 5 minute walk to the hotel which is adjoined to a Westfield shopping centre. Lille is a great little city, very pretty and well worth a visit. This hotel is the ideal location to stay when in Lille and I wouldn’t heaping staying here again. It has stunning views across the city and the rooms are comfy with all the amenities you’d quite of an apart hotel.
