Wonderful Vacation!

We loved our stay! The main house is immaculate, the grounds are beautiful and we had a great time swimming and enjoying the fire pit. While it was cloudy all week, we still loved watching the sun go down from the dock.

Wonderful time at an amazing property. We only left a few times to go out to dinner. Otherwise our family enjoyed the pool, the house and the property.

Terrific family time. Beautiful kitchen to make great meals. Pool is fantastic with very nice table and chairs. Uncle and nephews enjoyed the canoe and kayaks. Comfy beds. Only problem is the time passes too quickly.

Our family just can’t get enough of this lovely property. We just finished our third year visiting Holly Knoll and have already booked year 4 for August 2026. The home has everything you need for a truly comfortable stay right down to crab traps to use on the dock and the crabs are truly spectacular. We loved the pool and porch sitting and Jack is a great, responsive host. 5 stars every time.

Love everything about it

We had a wonderful time during our second stay and are already looking forward to 2025. The house has everything you could need and is in just the most lovely location. Perfect for family fun.

Relax in St Mary’s

Wonderful Stay

This was our 3rd stay, first with the new owner Jack who was very responsive and accommodating. It was also our first stay including the boat house. We were 6 adults with dogs. Go and enjoy you won't regret.

Holly Knoll has everything you need for great vacation: private waterfront home on the St. Mary’s River near historic St. Mary’s City; gourmet kitchen; salt-water pool and hot tub; dock; kayaks and canoe; and great crabbing and fishing. Great Property

This home has everything we needed to enjoy the week in St. Mary’s County. The owner communicated very well, answering our questions and offering suggestions for things to do. I would highly recommend this home for a relaxing time away from the daily grind!

Such a great spot!

Wonderful place to spend a week with family. Beautiful pool and hot tub and knock-out, gorgeous view from yard and dock. Fenced Yard is dog friendly which is such a plus and house has literally everything you could need. The River is full of wildlife and beautiful sunsets. Already booked next year!

A bit of paradise in Maryland

Our vacation was wonderful. The house is perfect for us, our adult children, and our grandchildren. Our grandchildren loved being in the pool. The property is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are spacious. We were sad to leave. Thank you to the hosts for sharing their beautiful home.

Beautiful property

Spectacular water views, great pool (spent a lot of time here due to 95-100 heat all week - awesome AC) and hottub, very well outfitted kitchen, comfortable beds, very private and quiet. Great family memories made by crabbing from the dock and eating our catch! Enjoyed the kayaks the first 2 days before it got too hot. Also enjoyed the the frogs, skinks, dragonflies, bluebirds, and especially the turtles (shared some watermelon with one!) Relaxed, memorable family vacation. Jack is the best host we've ever had - lots of helpful, accurate info and excellent, timely responses.

Great house; Amazing yard

The home is clean, spacious and well stocked. We spent some time sight seeing in the area but always left room in each day to enjoy the spa, pool, yard and dock. Like many others before us, being surrounded by nature, enjoying the amazing view and just spending time together relaxing in the yard, pool, spa were the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend!

This was our third summer staying at Holly Knoll. The property is secluded and very private. The house is well furnished and immaculate. Even with 6 adults and 2 dogs we had plenty of room. Everyone enjoyed the pool and spa. If the property is available next summer, we plan to go back.

Fantastic house and location

We rent houses all over the world, and this house was one of the nicest and best equipped of all the places we have stayed over the years. The pool is beautiful and the nearby beaches are spectacular. I am a chef by training, and the kitchen had everything I needed, including sharp knives which is a luxury I’m not used to when renting vacation homes. Thanks again for making our vacation so memorable Larry!

Perfect place for our family vacation

The house is so warm and welcoming we really could not think of anything more that they could have provided. The pool was beautiful, we couldn’t keep our daughter out of it or the sauna. Our son and his wife fished off the dock and kayaked the days away. Close to other activities and yet feel like you are in your own paradise. Loved it
