"We loved our stay at Hotel Lake Shore. We originally booked three nights as we hadn’t firmed up our travel plans. But after the first day we realized this was the perfect base to explore Pokhara. This is a comfortable, family owned hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but our room had a view of Lake Fewa and from our balcony we could see the mountains. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony with our tea every morning. Every place we wanted to go was an easy walking distance, plus the hotel set us up with a 1/2 day trip to Begnas Lake. The best part of Hotel Lake Shore is the people. The manager, Sanjog, made sure we were comfortable and took care of everything we needed. Everyone on the staff greeted us each time we passed through the lobby. We’re vegan and though they didn’t have nondairy milk, we brought our own and they generously steamed it for our coffee every day. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Pokhara."

The staff mentioned that it gets much livelier around September and October. We also had the pleasure of meeting Dorje himself and hearing his inspiring story of building the resort after years in the restaurant business. His hospitality ethos is clear in every detail—from the delicious, fresh food at the on-site restaurant (we happily ate most meals there) to the genuinely kind, attentive staff who go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional."
